^ speaking of trades.. it's not crazy but Hinrich just got traded to Wizards lol... All I can say is GOOD JOB BULLS! I've been waiting to see this guy get traded and his 9 or 10million per year contract.
Looks like the Knicks, Bulls, Heat are on a 3 way race to sign 2 of the big guys this summer. http://www.nba.com/2010/news/06/24/w...s=iref:nbahpt2
Can you imagine if the Bulls win and sign 2...

I don't think Michael and Kobe are equals. What I mean by that is that you can't really compare them. They are players from different era. Kobe entered the league at 18. Michael entered at 21. That's 3 years, and add the 2 years that Michael took off, that will be a total of 5 years. I think it's safe to say that 5 years make a big impact on a athlete's career. So what if Kobe went through the same career timeframe as Michael? Would he be as good? No one knows.
But if one is going to start throwing numbers around and say that Kobe rode Shaq to the 3 peat in LA, I don't think it's a fair comparison. Looking at numbers, Kobe performed just as good as Shaq when comparing them both at the same age.
All the numbers came from here http://www.basketball-reference.com/ |
You did your research my friend. I was just reciting off the top of my head and memory, so kudos man. Thanks for the enlightenment!

I think Rose/Deng/James/Bosh/Noah is championship calibre
I bet Miami gets Wade/Johnson/Boozer or even Amare if the suns don't sign him.

if they want to win a championship as a big 3
they are going to have to take a BIG pay cut. 3 Superstars cant win a championship without a decent supporting cast (look at Celtics 08, they had Rondo, Perk and Glen Davis, and James posey)

^ that would be cool if it happened but...
Rose - PG
Wade - SG
Lebron - SF
Bosh - PF
Noah - C
Now that looks more possible since Chicago got rid of Hinrich

^LOL That would both work if this is NBA 2K10!
Chicago can only afford 2 MAX contracts (after getting rid of Hinrich)... Miami can sign 3
This is why Chicago makes more sense as it would be a more "complete team" if Bosh/James signs there.
Rose/Deng/James/Bosh/Noah/Miller/Gibson/Warrick..
But IF Miami then that would be OK as well
Chalmers/Wade/James/Bosh/Beasley/Haslem/Richardson
It's funny how the Knicks aren't into these rumours ha....

^ I just can't see LeBron in Miami for some reason.. Miami is Wade's "team" and LeBron is too big of a name to be a "behind" him. This is why the Bulls is a better fit as that team doesn't belong to any player... we'll see..
Hope Lakers makes some moves too and add depth to the Frontcourt. Maybe even add someone like McGrady (cheap) for the 2nd unit scoring (We all know the problem the bench had)
Pierce opt out of his last year too...and wants a 4 year/90million deal...

| The Chris Bosh era in Toronto may be officially over. Quote:
ESPN's NBA contributor Dan LeBatard reports that the Raptors are poised to complete a sign-and-trade deal with Miami that would see Bosh go to the Heat for power forward Michael Beasley, point guard Mario Chalmers and forward Joel Anthony.
According to Lebatard's Twitter message on Wednesday, Bosh and fellow potential free agent Wade share the same agent so there's no tampering involved.
Bosh opted out of the final year of his contract with the Raptors, leaving more than $17 million on the table to join a free agent class that includes Wade and LeBron James.
The seven-year veteran averaged career-highs with 24 points and 10.8 rebounds this year.
However, the Globe and Mail has disputed the initial report, with one source telling the paper, flat-out, "There is no truth to that."
With so few players under contract at the moment -- Beasley and Chalmers are the only two -- the Heat are, according the Globe, reluctant to move out players; preferring, instead, to give the Raptors a trade exception that would amount to nearly $16.5-million.
| I like how TSN's title says BOsh's era in Toronto may be done....fuck it was over when the season ended....no way he is going to stay. Only thing left to know is where he's going and what they get in return if anything.

^Hmmm so the Heat are now willing to move Beasley/Chalmers/Anthony? If I were Colangelo, I'd be all over that. Maybe throw Calderon out with Bosh if they do a trade and ask for a 1strder.
