when you trade for a player like chris paul, usually there's young talent involved along with draft picks and expiring contracts. so...lakers will probably package andrew bynum, sasha, luke, and their two draft picks this year for chris paul and okafor.
you know, that isnt a bad trade... for the lakers HA!
but like G spec said, Chris paul would not fit with LA's system

yeah i hope the lakers make this trade, this opportunity is too good to pass up and too intriguing. it's hard to say whether chris paul will fit in or not...yes the lakers use the triangle offence but not all the time, they used kobe's offence too haha which is just give kobe the ball and let him do his thing. they can do the same thing with chris paul which is let him do his thing and do his awesome floater/layups in the lane or setup other ppl. this will enable kobe to 'rest' for some possessions which will be beneficial to his health for playoffs obviously. also i'm sure for a player of chris paul's caliber, he's going to be able to adapt and play within the system and phil jackson's going to make some tweaks of the triangle to run some plays for chris paul. anyways, enough essay writing! heheh
Fan wears LeBron's Heat jersey at Indians game
Man escorted out of park after hundreds of fans boo, chant obscenities
CLEVELAND - A fan wearing a Miami Heat jersey of LeBron James drew the ire of the crowd at a Cleveland Indians game and was escorted out of the ballpark.
Fans in the left-field bleachers chanted obscenities and pointed at the man Wednesday night during the sixth inning of the game between the Indians and New York Yankees. Hundreds of fans joined in before security led the man out of Progressive Field.
As he left, some fans followed him toward the gate with more derisive chants.

James' recent departure from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Heat caused a lot of anger in the city.
Many fans were near the left-field foul pole in hopes of catching the 600th home run ball by Alex Rodriguez.

bynum would be pretty pissed if the trade went through..
basically putting ur leg on the line for the ring
Why would he be pissed? I'm pretty sure he wants the ring as well so he wanted to be on the court playing...lol. it's not like he played just so his teammates get get the ring/championship and he doesn't.

um......think it thru again.... not really racists' trying to say that bynum would be pissed off if he got TRADED because after all the hard work and sacrifice he did for the team, such as playing thru the injury to win a ring. how would you feel if you put your heart and soul to help your team win a championship and then to get traded in the following offseason? wouldn't you be pissed and feel insulted?
The city of Memphis remains stunned and saddened today as police investigate the death of Lorenzen Wright, whose body was discovered yesterday. There also were tributes and shared memories of the 13-year NBA veteran, who at the age of 34 leaves behind six children.
Memphis Commercial-Appeal columnist Geoff Caulkins writes that Wright had weathered two family tragedies. His father Herb was paralyzed by a gunshot while breaking up a fight at a community center in Memphis, and coached his son from a wheelchair. And Lorenzen's daughter Sierra died suddenly at the age of 11 months, from natural causes.
Said Grizzlies ownerMichael Heisley:
"Lorenzen never backed down from any challenge given him, whether it was guarding Shaq or anyone else. He was a team player, a great locker room guy. There was never an instance that I talked to him when he wasn't positive.
"I am heartbroken. I'm sure there are a lot of people in Memphis who are very, very sad. He was a good man who had his share of tough times, and I've got to believe he's in a better place."
In Washington, D.C., Rep. Steve Cohen paid tribute to Wright on the House floor. In Cleveland, Wright's last NBA stop, Cavs general manager Chris Grant remembered Wright as "a vibrant, friendly, caring, young human being."

thanks
i was gonna go as far as saying he put his career on the line in the finals against boston.. but thats kinda pushing it
doctors told him NOT to play though i think he was cleared but told not to for his own good. his leg was swollen and every time he leaped for a rebound of ran across the court you could see the pain on his face. he deserves better than getting traded after his efforts. everybody knows that without bynum's size in the middle, the lakers would of not won the ring..
take away bynum and u take away the size, and you lose the boards and you lose everything
I'm a Bynum fan as I've stated b4 and wouldn't want him traded at all.... But I wouldn't be THAT upset if I were him and got traded... first thing I would think of is "the lakers traded me cuz they don't want to risk another year of me injured" or whatever... that's just me though. I guess I'll just be disappointd :P
But thank goodness that he just had a successful surgery and I'm hoping to see a 100% Bynum with the Lakers kick Celtics/Heat's asses!!! haha
I REALLY liked the signing of Matt Barnes... Can you imagine? after Artest gets a rest or gets into foul trouble, the other teams' star needs to deal with Barnes! lol..Love it....
Tyreke Evans had a need. A need for highly illegal speed (with no regard for passing lanes).
Sun Aug 01,2010 9:05 AM ET By Matt Moore
It always looks worse on video than it does on paper.
Tyreke Evans got tagged in May for driving 120 miles-an-hour in a non-120-miles-an-hour zone. He was briefly arrested then released. Last week he plead guilty to reckless driving and was sentenced to probation. A slap on the wrist really. So the story went away...
Until the Sacramento Police released video of his little joyride last Friday.
The video is actually relatively scary. Seeing Evans drifting in and out of lanes across the highway at that speed with other traffic does not paint the kind of "harmless joyride" picture the report did. Additionally scary is the end of the tape which shows Evans at gunpoint by the arresting officer who was just following procedure.
Anyway, if you're interested in such things, here's the video.
It looks like it will be MIAMI VS LAKERS on Christmas day game.... I guess they don't want to ruin Christmas by having Miami play Cleveland in CLE... even though I want to see that.. it's a good move by the league
