1990 Civic DX Hatchback (D15B)
500km per 32L 89 Octane
aka 6.54L/100km
aka 35mpg city from a car made 20 years ago!!

1998 Civic DX Hatchback (B16A2 w/ bolt ons)
220km per 20L 94 Octane
aka 9.00L/100km

oil changes, new spark plugs/wires dramatically increase your fuel mileage.

I'm getting ~400km per tank in my 09 civic, but the car isn't broken in yet.
Dealer says i should be getting 500kms per tank after break-in

1992 GS-R - completely stock, 216xxx KMs

- 370-380 KMs per 40L
- VTEC once or twice a day
- 95% city driving
- I shift in 3000-4000 range and I use engine braking quite a bit
- Other than above-average hydrocarbon ratings, my car has never had any trouble passing AirCare

My mileage has been fairly consistent in the 7+ years I've owned it. The replacement of an O2 sensor, cap and rotor, plugs (x2), and resets of the ECU have done nothing to improve the mileage. Older B-series motors aren't the most fuel-efficient, I guess.

for argument's sake, lets say 1L gas = $1.

x L / 100km = 42L / 620km

x = 6.77L/100km

so not bad at all!

edit: unless you remember exactly how many L you pumped in, the above calc is only an estimate.

let's say 40.77L with gas at $1.03/L. that makes it 6.58L/100km or ~35mpg.

11.25L/100km, not bad for b20 turbo considering my b16a2 n/a
is hovering around 9.00L/100km.

^ Depends how you drive. Check tire pressure every 3 days? Drive like a grandma? No happy foot? No short trips?

Yeah, you guys might wanna consider the size of your aftermarket rims. The manufacture ratings is based on their stock rim sizes. Your trips might consist of a lot of hills too.

For the first 3000 KM in my gf's 09 Civic EXL Coupe, she was averaging roughly about 42L/400KM?

Now things are starting to look GREAT!!! A mixture of city and highway driving, she got 36L/460KM!
