Just bought a new car.

Just pick up a blk on blk 04 SRT-4 Neon, 84kms on it. Really suprised at how fast the thing is, it pulls hard after 2300RPM. Ill get it polished and then get some pics up here for you guys to check out.

That's one of the few American Compact Sports Cars I like.

Great car.

It has 230WHP if the engine is in good shape. WOAH. That's close to 04-07 Subaru STIs...

250lb-ft is good

Enjoy your new car.

Change the exhaust! the stock exhaust sounds like crap imo. unless the ones i've heard are all aftermarket.

Is it just me or do the stock exhausts actually sound somewhat aftermarket already?

Its stock exhaust and its loud, i set off the car alarms in my underground twice today.

Like i said before its only making 8lbs of boost, should be making 14lbs. Car warrantied until August 2010 so its covered but somethings defenitly up with it, it also has a noticeable rattle that comes and goes at idle. But like i said its got a bumper to bumper warranty for another year and a half.

Any ideas on what it could be guys? I think it has the piece of crap Mopar BOV on it which leaks like a mother. Could that cause the boost loss? Also i think its riding on Koni yellows havent checked them out yet but from what i could tell. Also run front and back DC strut bars.

Is the rattle due to engine knock? Maybe the dealer put in regular gas and the computer is retarding the boost or something?

As far as exhaust noise, the stock setup runs without mufflers - all it has are resonators. Lots of mod potential with them though!

For the guy who came up with the gas idea, I just filled it right up with 94Oct would that take care of it or does it have a problem cuz of the gas they put in it?

I traded in my 2000 SH Prelude (problem child R.I.P) The thing needs its head rebuilt, its got a huge hit on it. Runs like a bag of crap, i really just wanted out of it before it all fell apart. So i got 6k for the Prelude(i only paid 7) And then with Taxes, Documentation and all ofther fees included i paid 7k for it.

Doesn't handle as well as the Prelude did, but few front wheel drive cars do. All in all it handles nicely, does what you ask it to without much complaint when being pushed. The LSD is really nice, im loving the car so far.

Im taking it into the dealership today so hopefully whatever the issue is with the boost and the rattling is will be taken care of.
