In an urban warfare, all you can see are the bling blings.

i have an urge to drink lots of milk (o__o)..

Culture_Vulture 03-05-2009 03:46 PM

not so bad if it wasn't camo.

Rich Sandor 03-05-2009 04:13 PM

I actually really like the camo on the outside, and the DTM style fender flares.

However, putting a full cage inside a street car is a major, major, FAIL. Not only are the sidebars at the top too low, but there is no padding whatsoever. It actually makes the car MORE dangerous in an accident.

Full cage = wheel2wheel Race car only.

Street/Track car = Roll Bar perfectly adequate.

Minata 03-05-2009 06:08 PM

i like it all minus the camo.

johny 03-05-2009 06:19 PM

is it bullet proof?

TOPEC 03-05-2009 06:37 PM

looks cute.

Yes Rich you are quite correct. There is a proper Roll cage for the Yaris that is built by TRD for the Yaris/Vitz. I almost had one in my hands when I was in Japan last winter. I plan on getting one fabricated for solo1 and hillclimbs next year once the car is done. Why do you think in the CACC rulebook if you have a cage you have to have a full harness and proper helmet?
Alot of guys who compete in the Vitz TRD series in Japan don't even have a full cage. Some of the cars come with it as an option, but some compete in the events without one.

mojoyaris 03-05-2009 09:45 PM

I hear that cage is made out of PVC!!!!!!

har har

You should be able to get away with just a roll-bar for solo1 and even for hillclimbs. I know Jared and Mark ran the 944turbo and bmw 318 at knox with just a roll bar.

The full cage is way overkill for solo1 in any car, and probably more detrimental than beneficial for knox (too much extra weight vs negligable risk of going off at knox in a yaris (unless yours has like 250+ hp) )

i dont see it :D

nah 250HP to front wheels won't kill you. Maybe if the brakes fail.....maybe.

Rich Sandor 03-06-2009 02:05 PM

I think 250fwhp would be pretty awesome in a yaris as long as you can put the power down.. lol.

AzNightmare 03-06-2009 03:34 PM

Well that's pointless with the cage in there. It took away the Yaris' only advantage. It's light weight.

blackrado 03-06-2009 07:04 PM

I like the seats

jmvdesign 03-06-2009 08:08 PM

The new Genesis Camo. It looks really smooth... kinda hard to explain, but the colour contrasts aren't very crisp. Like if you stand back, it just looks monotoned.
Maybe it's just the lighting.

I don't know what's up with the lights though.

Doridori 03-07-2009 01:42 AM

milk cow?

keifun 03-07-2009 02:51 PM

I like the camo EVO better...
