Question I-5 (Interstate 5) Driving Conditions For Today/Tomorrow

I'm not sure if this is the appropriate forum to ask, but this is urgent, so I need quick responses.

I'm planning to head down to Seattle tomorrow from Vancouver, but I notice that Bellingham and parts of Seattle will get Rain/Snow on Sunday, so I was wondering how that would affect the road conditions on the I-5 particularly that stretch where you're going through the mountains. The treads on my all-season tires are getting pretty worn out and it's due for a replacement, so I don't want to put myself in a position where I risk driving on ice at high speeds on the I-5.

Has anyone driven on the I-5 today? It'd be great if you can provide me with the road conditions particularly around the mountainous/higher elevation areas.

I drove down past Blaine to Bellingham today. They were salting the roads and preparing for snow. It should be fine though. They do a pretty good job of keeping the road clear. I've driven I5 during the big snow storm last December and had no problems navigating I5.

The stretch from Vancouver to Bellingham is the least of my concerns in snow conditions. My main concern is when I enter the mountainous regions after Bellingham like around Lookout Mountain and Samish Lake, at higher elevations, it can be a problem to drive.

Thanks for your input though.

a good time to pickup a set of tires in the states too. Check out discounttires and you'll be able to come back safer.
