A safe bet would be on Chicago to win Western division, but payout would only be double since they minus the 10 dollars off the total payout, so right now it's 3.02, so 30.20 - 10, so 20.20 for a pretty certain payout.

I checked both schedules and Chicago seems to have the better one. Especially with 5 points ahead and 9 games left? Ducks have 8 left and 5 points behind.

Or, those powerpicks are nice bets - sometimes they have a combo where the odds are just darn good and worth a bet. Just a couple days ago, they had, buffalo, blues, Washington to all win and payout was 9.8. Almost won if it weren't for shitty sabres.

Or take a gamble and put all 10 on Tiger to lead and win, 13:1 so 130 - 10 = 120. It's up to you on your risk. But make a smart move, don't choose the hard to guess, correct scores, or etc.

At first I thought that too, but when they had the promo last week to select the eastern conference winner and get 5 freebet to choose the western winner. I realized, it mean's the divisional winner! not to advance to the Stanley Cup Finals round.

If you can show me the fine print that says otherwise, then damn. But I swear, I read it properly.

Notice that when it says "EASTERN CONFERENCE WINNER" there's a date - Western Conference Winner 2012-2013 - 25 April 2013 - 4:05 PM - I'm guessing that's when bets will payout.



Even if it's free money, you definitely could have made the smarter decision lol. And build up from there? I.E// Maybe pick a certain win, such as Blackhawks over sabres and get a payout of 20bucks, then build your empire!

I could very well see Columbus upset the blues, that's why I didn't take the powerpick.

It's pretty confusing. I placed a "free" bet thinking that Chicago would be in top spot in the Western Conference at the end of the regular season.

However, from a NHL point of view, you don't get referred to as the Western Conference winner unless you make it to the SCF... i.e. the Canucks were the Western Conference winners in 2010-11 season.

So I dunno what will happen!

I emailed Playnow just now, hopefully that can clarify some things. Since the recent promotion to choose the divisional winner didn't say anything about stanley cup finals, it just said Divisional winner

When I made the $10 bet like 2 months ago, I don't recall it saying "Pick the team from the Western Conference to advance to the Stanley Cup Finals". But I made another $10 free bet with the current PLAYNOWSPORTS code and I see the SCF memo underneath it...

So I dunno...It could also be that, because theirs only like 7 or 8 games left and CHI is 5 points ahead with a game in hand, they decided to remove that bet since CHI pretty much has this wrapped up? Or maybe I'm just convincing myself LOL

hahah.. yeah, thats true. but if i wanted to do that, i could also just use my own $10. I went for the best 'value' (risk-reward), not necessarily highest chance. I went in at 22:1 odds. In one day, odds went down to 12:1. So I think that means I kinda chose right.. kinda

Freakshow made a good point, Washington odds should be zero...if it was Eastern Conference Winner/Champ, since there's no way for them to place 1st in Eastern.

So.....looks like it is the team from the division to advance to the finals. Welp, that ruined my day. :(
