So far I have swapped it from auto to a T-5(with a new clutch), gutted the cat which was plugged and removed the baffle thingy in the air intake. With the stock 3.73 in the back it has pretty decent pull in first and second(at least compared to my 4th gen civic). I was doing some "arab drifting" and wrinkled the front end up on a tree and had to swap the fenders, hood and lights as can be seen in the picture. only had it on the road for a day after the t-5 swap when that happened, goofed it pretty hard. Short term plans are wheels, subframe connectors and camber plates all hopefully done by mid july. Long term goal is a 15lb boost setup with parts from a tbird. I have a single plug motor kicking around that I plan to rebuild for the turbo setup this winter. the white car that I steal parts from is in the process of getting a 305 and rear-end from a chevy truck, a lift and an external cage but that's a whole nother story... |
5 Attachment(s) Just joined, just moved to Ladner from Penticton. I have an 07 Cobalt SS N/A and a 92 Spirit ES. Attached some before and after photos of my Spirit. Has it's third motor[I got it with a blown one, and blew a wrecker motor, then got a third] Currently has a rebuilt 2.2L 87 Daytona Shelby Z block, ported head, Garrett T03 with a larger compressor wheel, T2 rad/intercooler combo, converted to a 5 speed. Full body work/paint job. Customized the hood myself. She really needs a good brake job.. |
