meh, if you bought some beef there from the times indicated take it back and get a refund. Not a big deal, no one has been infected so why make a huge deal about it.

I think the fact that it took a month to discover this shows that there are some serious quality control issues.
What about the people that had already consumed the meat and now found out they could have gotten seriously sick? If I was in that position I'd personally be feeling a little angry.

Saying "Oh well, no one's gotten sick (yet), it's no big deal" is kind of the wrong attitude.

If you cook the beef properly you will not get sick. You will only have a problem if the meat is undercooked.

It also hasn't been proven yet that the meat does have e.coli, some preliminary test warned there could be, but a bunch more testing needs to be done. I've had ecoli before and it did suck, but I was camping, it was dark out, and I didn't notice my burger wasn't cooked in the middle. Stupid me. I learned my lesson and cook my ground beef thoroughly.

It was also only the Alex Campbell Premium Beef (has a brown label), all the signature Beef and regular stuff has no warning.

I have eaten probably 5-6 pounds of ground beef in the last month from thrifties. I make big lasagnas / pastas and portion it out so I have lunches for work throughout the week. I've been totally fine.

On a side note, I've weened myself off of coffee by drinking green tea. 1 month w/ no coffee
