|  Soon,they will be making airbags for your nuts.
First there are the knee airbags, the Rear curtain airbags then the Rear seat center airbags.
One day, they would put an airbag on every single trim in the car.
I really think it's just a new gimmick for Toyota to show-off. How many airbags are on a high-end Toyota/Lexus these days?
I do not mean those airbags are useless, but I think it's too much... Quote:

When the vehicle is hit side-on, the airbag deploys from the top of the console to act as a barrier that helps lessen injuries caused by passengers colliding with each other or into the console.

They will just cancel that airbag whenever someone is in the middle, just like automatic passenger airbag cancellation for infants or child.

haha... what if someone is sitting in the middle, and the sensors fail during the crash?? haha id hate to be that guy in the middle.... za gish!!!
