I went to the press deal thinger this morning. Reasons to go:
-Spyker is indeed there. Amazing cars, truly. Oddly, they're on the concourse, not the show flow. There's a Spyder and a C8 coupe. Coupe is ubersex.
-Aston DBS. Yes, its not new. It's still sex.
-ZR1 and production Camaro SS. Tucked away in the GM booth, behind the Malibus and Buick Allures. I couldn't figure that one out either. Oh, and the ZR1's info sheet says that the price for the model "seen here" is 83K. I'm buying 10 tomorrow at that price.
-2010 BMW Z4. It's bigger, nicer, and quite a bit better looking in real life.
-Audi A5/S5 cabriolet.
-2010 Mustang, and Mustang GT500 KR, which is even more frightening looking in real life.
-2010 Ford Fiesta. Holy fuckbeans, that is perhaps the coolest looking little car ever. I'd be surprised if it didn't outsell the Fit and Yaris by a factor of 10 to 1. Each.
-New wing for the Evo X. Whatever.
-A very solid contingent of concourse booths. To be honest, touring the various booths up there was easily as good as the show floor; some of those exhibitors brought some impressive stuff with them!
All in all, you can expect to spend probably 2-4 hours in there before you see it all; not a bad deal for $15 bucks. Hell, I spent a couple hours talking to the Spyker guy alone. Fuck, those things are so goddamn cool. Every single little detail is just amazing.

A few reasons I forgot:
-Lexus IS-C. Meh, its wierd, but all you fanboys will be on it like flies on shit.
-Lexus HS250. Even wierder.
-2010 VW Golf. Nifty, actually.
Freebies, I dunno, the press gets different stuff anyway but I did see VW pushing their diesels cleanliness by handing out rags the tdi tailpipes to see if they burn clean, which I thought was innovative.Oh, they were handing out unscented air fresheners too, to cover the tdi's nonexistent diesel smell.

Happy to hear that who ever went so far, is happy with the floor plan! I am the one who for the past 3 years has drawn it up and worked hand in hand with the New Car Dealers trying to bring the best layout possible for everyone to be able to see what the world of cars has to offer!
