Gotta replace the windshield on my B8 S4 w/ rain sensing wipers. Anyone know if there is aftermarket glass available? I of course want OEM Audi glass and am curious if anyone has experience with an A4/S4.

bumping this thread in a slightly different topic.

need to replace my windshield and was wondering if any shop in vancouver uses those new techniques to replace windshields - i.e. using a wire to cut the urethane rather than a fucking power tool that scratches your car

Speedy does. It's called a spider tool.

my old auto glass shop used to use it on newer cars or customers who seemed a lot more picky than others. Ultimately depends on how busy the shop is, if we had time, we would use the spider and do a cleaner job. If its busy we bang it out with the extractor and scratch the hell out of the pinch weld but touch up with primer after and cover it up with the moulding... with that being said u should always check the roof line for scratches upon pick up to see if they really touched it up with primer... otherwise, rust..

Bumping this thread. The rear windshield on my 2013 Corolla is shattered. I’d like to get an OEM replacement. Any suggestions?

Large chain shops like speedy will use oem glass at no extra charge if you request it. Small mom and pop shops wont as they will lose money on oem glass over aftermarket.

I actually went to speedy glass since they were the place that could take me in soonest. I requested for OEM but they said no, they can give me an OEM equivalent. The glass came from the manufacturer Fuyao.

JF got me OEM glass for both the pcar and the wagon - both of which can't have OEM replacement policy as they're too old.

The guys at Burnaby are car guys too so understand the OCD.

Rapid Auto Glass in Coquitlam or Pacific Auto Trim & Glass in Vancouver

OEM replacement will depend on your insurance coverage
