Social Media Tracking/Listening Tools

So I'm currently interning for a smaller eMarketing agency and we're looking for listening platform for social media. Since this is a smaller business we won't be investing a lot into an expensive tool. I've looked into several tracking tools such as Radian6 and SM2 Techrigy but hoping maybe I could get some insight.
Anyone have much experience with these and would recommend any?
