Free Channels

I am planning to remove my TV cable since prices are high and not many good programs. Wonder will I still be receiving any public channels (ex news)? BTW, I now with Shaw cable.

you get around 4-6 TV channels here with an Ant (rabbit ears ect) global, CBC, and others. I think you get 2, 8, 24, 32, and 4x. (this are the ant channel numbers not cable numbers)

if you have an HD TV, and get an HD ant, you'll pick up 3 or 4 of those Channels in HD. HD over air is pretty dam clear.

but you need an Ant. having the disconnected cable plugged in won't help you with Shaw. I believe with delta cable the connected cable acts as the ant and you'll pick up the free channels still.

so you mean like basic cable? with like 20 channels or so?
