What disturbs me about that picture is that some guy had the patience to look at her up close and for quite some length while cutting her out for photoshop.

the taillight definitely looks a lot like a Camry light, the height of the damage to your house looks about right for the bumper too and the wheels marks are thin.

the only thing making me think it *might* something other than a Camry is A) the headlight piece doesn't look like it fit a Camry, B) there's no paint transfer to your house which kinda makes me think it could be a car with unpainted plastic bumpers a la older neon or something.

my only guess beyond a Camry is older Audi 100? *shrugs*

Looking like Camry to me too, just need to get up close and personal with one and the tail light fragments to make a positive ID.

There was a lot of paint transfer but it fell on the ground, we have large chunks of metallic silver paint and some of them have the orange paint on them... you can see them in the pic of the light...

or here...

Also we found a chunk of what we assume is the front bumper on the front lawn, probably from the impact with the tree... and it is painted.

if you can get the paint ID'd at an autobody shop that would narrow down the list of potential cars significantly.

p.s. I see you have a Delica but the pics are down. Any chance you drove it across the ferry and down the Coq this past August?

hmmmm im assuming ur talking about the b13 sentra.. i dont think it is cuz the b13 lights arent round at the top and the bottom, only on the sides. Its most likely the 1991-1996 camry.

i don't get it. What's the point of identifying the car? I mean, it wouldn't help.. or would it??? Anyways, I'd recommend you to not waste too much time into it because it's definitely already something that is a lost to your friend. Now i wouldn't want it to be a bigger lost for you guys; spending time that could be spent elsewhere.

Taken it on the ferry, but haven't driven it to the interior yet.

We don't plan on wasting a lot of time looking for this jerk, but the more information the police, ICBC and we have, the higher the chances of them getting caught. The best would be some kind of province-wide bulletin system for body shops so they would know to alert authorities when a car matching the description with the right damage and paint transfer rolls in their shop, but that would be too easy, lol.

aww darn, we saw one getting on the ferry last summer, then ran into it on the highway leaving the ferry, then saw it on the highway in Coquitlam, then finally at the toll booth on the Coq. the last time we passed it the guy and his wife recognized us and waved haha, such sweet vans

If the guy was really stupid about the situation.. he might decide to claim it through ICBC. Guy brings in the car for the inspection, ICBC checks out damages and determines if it matches a floating bulletin about that generation of camry.

This is only if ICBC does have a floating bulletin board which could be nothing more than a simple fax or email to each inspection centre. This is ICBC we're talking about though... spend the least amount of time or money, depend on its worth.
