A management consultant at a tier one firm straight out of the MBA program will make over 100K. Bonuses are also in the range of 20-30%. So it definitely is above 60K. I don't know what they're talking about with work/life balance though. I don't consider traveling Sunday to Thursday and putting in 60-80 hours consistently, a balanced work/life. Though i-bankers do work 80-100 hours.
