IRC AutoX schedule
Well, it is now official.

IRC (Island Rallysports Club) has obtained a paved lot in Parksville for AutoX use. The paved area is about 35m x 45m, so a tight technical course. We have use of the lot for the year. The club is also negotiating on a much larger lot in the Cowichan area.

These events will be run under IRC's CACC affiliation and thus will come with the full FIA-ASN Canada insurance package and the same regulations as the VMSC events. Entry fee has not been set, but is likely to be in the $25 range.

Here are the proposed dates. The first date is dependent on us receiving a permit on time.

April 19 Sunday
May 17 Sunday
June 21 Sunday
July 12 Sunday
Aug 16 Sunday
Sept 20 Sunday
Oct 18 Sunday

Good news for you guys! Nice to see some expansion in the racing scene. Maybe this year I'll be able to drag my lame ass out to some events.

any new info about this autox on sunday april 19th?
im looking to come down but can find any information as to reg. times and where the lot even is
even emailing all the contacts has gotten no reply
its nice that someone is organizing autox but there needs to be more information

I believe IRC may still be waiting on a permit.

The April 19th event has been cancelled. Not enough lead time to get the proper permits from CACC and have time to advertise for the event.

The May 17 event will be ready.

I had to withdraw my entry. I've got a problem with my downpipe that needs to be fixed before I race again.

Well against my better judgment I ran anyway. Nothing broke.
Good times. Super tight, 1st gear only course but only 25 min. from home and got in 10 or so runs.
