I feel like the incident that kicked off the deluge of abuse (her ring outfit getting washed and shrunk), was potentially manufactured drama for Terrace House. Even the parts that could be perceived as real moments are a young person still trying to figure shit out. Fucking marks taking a TV show way too seriously.

Of course it was. Reality TV is always scripted. Maybe not as in "written out as a script" but it's all bullshit. They take whatever footage they get, and portray the story they want to tell. Even if this is one of the 'less dramatic' shows, it's still storytelling.
And people are just getting "worked" by it by getting upset at what the "characters" do.
The problem is, the "characters" are often real people who aren't always in on it. And the shit they have to deal with it unreal. Even actors in fictional stories get shit from people, like that Viet actress from Star Wars.
There are just no consequences for acting like trash on the internet, generally speaking. So it brings out the worst in people. I used to act shitty to people too, without considering that I am talking to actual people online. I changed things up after I realized how upsetting it can be, even if it's just "playing up a role" to generate "heat".
This is still fucking me up, though alcohol is helping a bit. I should be able to at least get some sleep
Only people who are already in Japan can participate, since the borders are still closed. So no Will Ospreay
Stardom cancelled all their shows in June. Here's hoping they can come back in July
I haven't posted it here, but Jungle Kyona wrote a eulogy for Hana, saying that she is going to try to win the red belt in h er honor. I legit got goosebumps reading that, and actually it helped a lot in "moving on" as it gives me something hopeful to look forward to in Stardom again.
It would be a dream come true if the borders were open and I could get to see it in person. I just know that I would be a complete wreck, as would many
For those who don't know, wrestling just had its own #MeToo movement, with a lot of people coming forward with accusations. Some were debunked (like Matt Riddles) others led to firings or suspensions (Dave Starr, Jack Gallagher, Jimmy Havoc)
Still nothing on Velveteen Dream, as he'd been accused by a boy a few weeks or months ago (and was given a title shot instead of being removed from the show). New accusations have come up, but as always, we don't know how much truth there is to them
On top of all this, people are just posing screenshots of general creepiness of dudes... Not necessarily doing anything illegal, but just being gross.
DUDE that Young Bucks / FTR vs Lucha Bros / Butcher & Blade is one of the best matches I've seen in a long time! Has to be runner up to MOTY so far. Legit screaming and goosebumps at some of the spots. And best of all they are telling a story the whole time, leading to more later on (something the Bucks are so fucking good at it's ridiculous)
Also the White Belt tournament in Stardom began, and both opening matches were great!
Tam vs Natsuko was a great top babyface vs top heel match, with the babyface avenging her partner who had to retire and vacate the belt. There was a spot where she started her comeback by noticing the bracelet they wore that was pretty cool
Giulia vs Konami was probably the best 'pure wrestling match' this year, with two perfectly evenly matched competitors going. Just so great.
Today was Kairi's last day at WWE (they are taping next week's show so that will be her last show)
Here's hoping she will go back to Stardom for a bit before retiring completely
I have a feeling they'll just pay her downside for a while to prevent that, but who knows. Depends on how they feel about Stardom as something they want to crush. They failed to buy it, so that might have ended their plans for NXT Japan for a while.
