How about Tony during that Sting reveal! He made that segment, which was already great, into a classic
Blows my mind that Kenny is the AEW champ... Crazy finish to that match! And now they're working with Impact? It's pretty cool how the smaller promotions are all working together outside WWE

That dynamite show might very well be the best of 2020 and it was on free TV!!!
Then landscape of pro wrestling has moved and imo could very well set up something amazing especially if that covid vaccine is just around the corner
Japan wants to go ahead with the olympics so it might just be possible. Not sure how it works with passports. I wanted to go to Wrestle Kingdom after having such a blast last year too
It was definitely shocking news because we all knew he was injured but all the BTE episodes and people talking about Brodie Lee sounded like he was going to be returning soon.
Sounds like he was one of those guys that everyone loved and nobody had a single bad thing to say about him.
Yes and more importantly, they were saying all that when he was still alive. They all said the same thing - super nice guy, loved his family more than anything in the world. This really sucks
i'd like to emphasise here that Jay White has only been wrestling for 8 years.
I care about what Jay is gonna do now becuz that promo made me give a fuck even more.
I think Black and some others are keeping their social media completely WWE-free, since WWE is taking over their other platforms like Twitch. They fired his wife (Zelina Vega) over it.
BTW if you want to see 4 match of the year contenders in the first week, watch Wrestle Kingdom. If you want to see one more, watch Kenny vs Fenix from yesterday's Dynamite
1. Jay White vs Kota Ibushi
2. Shingo vs Jeff Cobb
3. Okada vs Will Osprey
4. Naito vs Ibushi
The White/Ibushi match was an epic story. The work Jay White has put in since NJPW returned from the pandemic is the climax to his journey from young boy to main eventer. He's got many great years ahead.
Kenny vs Fenix was just a fun match, but the post match stuff OHHH BOY.
It's not a tease for that AEW/NJPW partnership, but they very much opened up the door to so many possibilities coming up for story telling given that there was never an actual match/segment/story about the tongans Bullet Club vs The Elite.
Jon Moxley might actually get to wrestle on US soil for NJPW as well. too many potential outcomes.
With Meij gone, I think it's just a matter of time until NJPW and AEW work together. Possibly as soon as the virus is managed. And yeah it looks like Mox will be wrestling for them on US soil, which requires permission from Tony Khan to do so.
I just watched that Cobb vs Shingo match and holy fuck what a match! I love that moonsault suplex he does
Starlight Kid picking up more Tiger moves, pinning Tam with a bridging Tiger Suplex last month! Listen to the crowd reaction (considering they aren't allowed to cheer) and the announcers were blown away by it
And now she finally got to meet Tiger Mask at WK, fangirling over the Tiger Suplex
Currently her main finisher is a rotating frog splash or ki-chan bomb (Canadian Destroyer) but it's great to see her picking up a devastating suplex finisher. I expect her to take the next step this year in singles competition... Until now she's been the singles jobber, only really getting pins in tag matches, if even that. I love her charisma and positive attitude and look forward to cheering her on as she chases some titles. Would love to see her get a singles pin over AZM, who started around the same time, but is way higher on the roster.
This was basically a match where "the winner gets the move" as Tam had been using it for like 2 years, and Kid is starting to take on a lot more Tiger Mask movements introduced it in that match I posted before.
Also she's wearing a Tiger Mask tribute in that match
And she does the Tiger Mask entrance pose now
Well... she lost that match. Tam kicked out and beat her with the Tiger Suplex, and told her to go back to using her old finisher (moonsault, now from the top rope). So it's kind of perplexing. I tweeted that Kid should start using the Tiger Driver, and she liked that tweet, but I don't see her using that any time soon. It's a pretty risky and devastating move!
