I loved this match between BD and Hangman.
The ending was fine for me, but there might be some that won't like it. However, those who followed in the Kenny vs Okada story will instantly recognise this ending.
Will Ospreay is better than 99% of the world at wrestling. Okada is in that 1%
I haven't watch night 1 main event yet, but did see night 2
Aside from the Stardom match, the rest of WK was very lackluster and it was tough to keep my attention at times. I am obviously very familiar with Stardom, and they hit all their signature moves and tore the house down. I actually predicted the finish before they even announced the participants; I knew they'd want to show off Kamitani's Phoenix Splash
The EVIL stuff is all time bad, like even worse than WWE. They somehow managed to have a bad Ishii match, that's how bad EVIL and House of Torture are.
I HATED the Tanahashi match. I hate garbage matches to begin with, and this one was extra dangerous which I don't find appealing. KENTA looks like he almost died hitting that garbage can from like 3m high.
But man, Ospreay vs Okada was an instant classic. Could become MOTY 2022

House of Torture and Dick Tojo are probably the worst thing to happen to within NJPW during this whole covid era. I was never a fan of EVIL anyways so it didn't matter. However, the biggest waste of talent in that whole stable is SHO... or maybe he just isn't as good as he was during the Roppongi3k stuff.. no idea.
KENTA goofed on the fall, don't think his eye/face was suppose to fall on the edge of the can. Those NJPW tables.. for whatever reason, don't break like they do in American, and u can kinda see why now, they got that ikea honeycomb like design runnin thru it to give it the strength. That US belt has become synonymous with hardcore matches now tho... long gone from when Jay White and Omega held it.
and yea... nothing more to say about the Okada Osprey match.. that rainmaker countered into the spanish fly was SMOOOOTH
what an awful rumble
I was a little more invested for this one because of Lesnar vs Lashley,
nope. shitty screwy finish.
Seth vs Roman.. match was great, shitty ending
Women's rumble.. i hate ronda
Men's rumble. Bad Bunny was a plesant surprise, but ending was too predictable
It was an all time bad Royal Rumble. Maybe the worst one since the Attitude Era
Agree on Seth vs Roman. Aside from the awful commentary, it was on its way to being a great WWE Match. But then the finish.
I like Ronda, so I'm fine with her winning. They had barely any of their own women on the roster, so it was like 90% nostalgic acts. It was fine for that, better than the men's rumble in fact.
Men's rumble was basically a 20 man 24/7 geek Battle Royale, followed by the real 10 man Royal Rumble. Brock was awesome, but having Shane and Bad Bunny in the final 4 is just so lame.
Awful, awful show. Every time I give WWE another chance, they put on a show like this.
Not probably, but "IT IS" the worse RR. It was boring and zero excitement, it was clear when Brock would win it after Reigns made him lose the title. When can we get rid of Lashley out of title matches, I've always hated watching him.
Only Goldberg can show up outta nowhere and demand a title shot without being on TV to earn it.
Yeah Cody hasn't fit in with the rest of the show since 2019... All his segments stand out in a weird way, with their own booking that has little to do with anyone else
His stip of never challenging for the title meant he could never really feud with the top guys there
Brandi has caused issues backstage since the beginning... You've probably heard of a fallout between the EVPs... They've been better lately, but it was apparently bad for a while.
So Tony would have renewed Cody's option but not hers, but obviously he's going to stand by his wife. So they both left
Obviously WWE wants him, but I don't see the point for him. Unless it's an insane payday, there's nothing for him to accomplish there. He'd get a big pop at first, but would inevitably be feuding with Baron Corbin and Miz, and what's the point in that? Vince would NOT have the outside guy come in and beat Roman or Lashley or even Owens.
If NJPW was able to hire foreigners I could see that.
Or he just hangs out for a while, and comes back (without Brandi) as a non EVP, maybe finally turn heel, and go for the championship again.
One of my all time favourites comes out of retirement in my favourite promotion!
And she's feuding with my current favourite, Starlight Kid!
I wasn't watching Stardom when she was there, but she's part of the reason I checked them out. I've since seen all her big matches, and it only made me a bigger fan (and that much sadder when she was moved to the main roster in WWE) and now I'm a huge Stardom fan who buys all their PPVs and even have some merch (and yes I do own a Kairi shirt lol)
Or you meet some girl at the club, cum inside of her, find out shes only in grade 12, so you buy a Prada bag for her to make things right, she finds out the bag is a fake and decides to have the kid

What a go home show for the PPV.
Tony Khan now owns the brand and the 20year history of Ring of Honor. Pretty much all your main event guys today have gone through ROH. It’s nuts
