I think Miro's promos about God are referring to Okada, so I hope that's where they go with him
NJPW has so many big stars, but they have a lot of geeks too... Hikuleo did not look good at all in that match. I hope it's not just Tanahashi and then a bunch of Bullet Club guys or whatever.. I want stars!

I have been watching Best of Super Jr. What a great tournament this has been, the Impact guy Ace Austin is a standout. Sadly Wheeler Yuta is too damn green and looks so out of place in this tournament.
Finals is this friday, Hiromu vs El Phantasmo.

BTW that Hiromu vs Despy match delivered! Great stuff, but I was hoping for Despy to win
CM Punk out with injury, they'll crown an interim champion at Forbidden Door. I really hope it's Tanahashi... It would be unexpected and they'll have to do some negotiating, but I think it would be awesome for him to do a short AEW run while Punk is out, then drop it to him when he gets back.

Moxley vs Tanahashi is something NJPW has been trying to book for 3 years. No confirmed reports, but TK didn't want a major moxley victory on a NJPW show, which is why the DC show was changed to a 4 way.
I have yet to see BOSJ final, but i saw all the bullet club shenanigans. Very likely we see BC holding all the titles into forbidden door.

I think they're making the most out of a bad situation.. Either Mox or Tana winning has pros and cons.. Personally I like Tana winning, and even if he goes to the G1 with the belt and doesn't defend it, it's still a cool moment that they can build on. Then when Punk comes back they can unify it back to him
Mox vs Tana likely never happened due to covid.. The "forbidden door" was still very closed before covid, even though Moxley was signed to New Japan
Now it's open and they can do whatever is beneficial to both sides

So down for this stuff but man I am been pretty cold on NJPW for a bit now... I would have been so much more hyped pre covid, but I guess that goes for everything in life.
NJPW is also doing a crossover show with Stardom in November and I'm looking forward to that even more. God I wish the Japan borders will open by then (and the 7 day quarantine coming back to be removed)

my guess is before summer is over, you will be able to free roam Japan.
My guess is also that the cop coming into power will change Q rules for the better, 3days as rumored haha.

Will Ospreay on AEW television... my god
GREAT match. And it got over in Kansas City, where a lot of people wouldn't have known who he is, certainly wouldn't have known his tag team partners, and aren't super into Trent either.
He's facing Sanada for the IWGP US title after Juice got sick. Dominion is looking like a must-watch for the build to Forbidden Door. I subbed for the Super Junior final so I'll be watching it live.
Aussie Open... The big guy is pretty cool. The other guy is a geek, glad he ate the pin (most would probably assume Trent would do the job)

Osprey and Aussie Open on their match debut not only for AEW, but i believe on US TV, not sure if axs counts hha
but definitely a debut on a major network.
Tony, reddit and a lot of folks have nothing but praise for Aussie Open, but not a lot of footage out there

Maybe they're good.. Big guy was impressive. Little guy was a total jobber in this match with very little offense, so it's tough to say
God I loved Ospreay hitting a casual springboard 450 like it was nothing
Will was just a guy in a 6 man tag, just coming off a bad illness, and still looked better than 95% of the entire AEW and NJPW rosters

That finish was SO GOOD. The crowd was 100% sure that if Jay hit the Blade Runner, the match would be over. 100%, no chance of Okada kicking out. So they teased it 2 or 3 times, and they bit on each one. Okada fighting trying to hit more Rainmakers.. Then suddenly Jay hits it, and it's over. Fucking TREMENDOUS surprise finish.
I think they seem to be going Jay White/Adam Cole vs Hangman/Okada. I think most of the matches will be tags, with a few important singles matches like the main event.
Tanahashi looks so beat up man, I don't know how much longer he can go. He's still great, but it's painful to watch
Going on at the exact same time was the Noah vs DDT vs Tokyo Joshi Pro supershow in Saitama.. I was switching back and forth and actually this show was way better overall, while NJPW's top matches were better.
Semi main got really ugly, as Nakajima gets tagged in, no sells all Endo's strikes, then shoot KO's him with a slap. Nakajima then pinned him with one foot, but lifted when Endo couldn't kick out on his own. They called the match after that
Also while he was no selling he was throwing the occasional stiff strike and a shoot headbutt 
Akiyama got in and had a tense moment with Nakajima.. 20-30 years ago shit would have gone down I think. But this time cooler heads prevailed, and we'll see what the outcome will be. Ugly moment for sure

Jay using the no cheering thing as part of the match and then actually having the crowd behind him after the match is something else.
i saw this thing between Endo and Nakajima.
What is with NOAH giving old guys their big title... oddly enough, an entire event celebrating CyberAgent and all of their companies and its NJPW Dad winning the big one...
but hey, Kojima is now a triple crown winner
