I was super surprised to see it happen after the build they did to make JM a dominant heel. I never considered him anything more than a ticket draw for the India market.
I think they did this because they can't make Lesner look weak by losing to Jinder and can't make Jinder look weak by being physically dominated by Lesner.
Jinder will probably end up winning the belt back after Survivor Series
Yea Lesnar beat Stroman with 1 F5 so how can they make Jinder even close to Stroman unless the Brothers interfere. Unless Jinder's whole title reign was just for the indian market. I can't see AJ being a long time champion either though. Are they trying to make a fatal 3 way? That way you have 2 guys against Lesnar?
They keep saying that Smackdown isn't the B Show but with Jinder as champ I can't take them seriously.
The way they have built Lesnar up, it needs to be a triple threat or No DQ. I haven't been watching WWE much until last year's WrestleMania so the last singles match I saw Lesnar fight was a no DQ match against Dean Ambrose and without weapons it's basically gonna be a squash.
WWE basically put themselves into a corner with poor planning for Survivor Series. Almost every championship match up is heel vs heel. The last minute title changes seemed unnecessary with the exception of Jinder. For a cross brand PPV, other than the SmackDown shinanagins it doesn't seem that exciting of a ppv
HHH is the 5th man for Raw! Huge pop. Fuck Angle. They are burying him good making him look like a pathetic old man. Maybe they are going for a Heel flip?
Unless Angle looking weak is a work and he comes out looking good for SS but I just don't know. One thing I am sure of is I'm enjoying WWE more than I have in years.
I mean weak as in being demasculated by Stephanie several weeks in a row, with no ability to talk back, and standing around like a tool as HHH beats up his son. He will never get his revenge vs Steph, nobody does
Yeah he looks much worse than he did even before the Shield match. I think he must have hurt himself during training or something. They're not pulling him out of the SS match though, but I wouldn't be surprised if his participation is just really limited.
Then again, Angle looked like a broken old man 15 years ago, and like he was on death's door 11 years ago, so...
Yeah Kurt look really stiff and out of shape. I really don't know much time off he's had between leaving TNA to going to WWE. Hopefully he can get back into game shape sooner rather than later.
I don't really want to see a Hulk Hogan style Kurt Angle.
Honestly I would be happy not seeing Kurt back in the ring again. His time is past. That Angle slam was sloppy and he almost dropped Shane right on his head on Smackdown.
