As promised, Ronda is taking time off after this WM to go have her baby... Really hope she comes back soon after that. WWE is pretty much completely out of big stars, especially since they couldn't get Omega or Jericho.

Women's division is very thin on big marketable stars yikes
So the "anxiety" attack was bullshit and he ran out to avoid wellness testing. NXT does testing once every 3 months while Main Roster stars do it once a week. I guess he didn't know that and saw his name on the list for testing the night he was supposed to jump Cena and left the venue. Guess he has to wait for whatever is in his system to leave before coming back and submitting to the test.

Berz out.
I'd have to see that from a reliable source... Either way, can't say I am upset about it after seeing what a piece of shit he was in wrestling forums... Usually I don't care that much about what a performer is like "in real life" but whatever
Oh BTW War Raiders vs Undisputed Era, would have been WWE match of the year contender for 2018 and is easily their best match so far this year (I know, it's only January)
I literally got goosebumps, and exclaimed out loud during one spot, despite it being 8am and everyone else in the house is asleep
Kairi Sane won Female performer of the year and Overall Performer of the year. What a star! Ciampa got male competitor of the year, Ricochet was breakout of the year and Io Shirai is future star (obviously!)
I'll say it. That was better than WK13. Just up and down an amazing show. Even the worst match (Belair vs Baszler) was told a good story and got Belair over huge with the visual pinfall and escaping the finisher one and a half times.
If you like wrestling at all and don't watch NXT... I don't even
Woke up late to watch it live, but this sure woke me up!
I have to say, watching Shane McMahon be competitive in the ring always annoyed me, but now that he is a fat old man with grey hair and bright red skin, it is straight up gross. Seeing him desperately try to cover up his gut during the spin-o-rama spot was embarrassing to watch. Then he goes and wins clean with a fucking shooting star press?
I fast forward through anything to do with Miz and Shane when I watch Smackdown, but when I have to watch it during PPVs fuck I get annoyed.
This is like the opposite feeling of watching NXT yesterday
I'm ready to be a Xia Li fan, I really like her unique offense which is based on real Chinese kung fu moves (she was a legit competitor). She's also super athletic. And also dat.. well you know
Too bad Tamina fucked up her backflip spot
Edit: Same goes for Kacy Catanzaro! She could be the female Rey (obviously nobody will be a great as Rey, but I mean similar work style)
Can someone explain to me how AJ Styles can have such good PPV matches that NEVER get over with the crowd? That finish sucked yes, but the match itself was so well done.
It was in a rough spot too, but this isn't the first AJ Styles match that was quite good but didn't get over at all.
I have yet to watch NXT. Will try to make time for it this week. Gargano is like the poster child for great matches in the WWE. His Rumble performance was also great in the limited time!
As for the rest of the show... I started watching from the women's rumble. Becky is super over. Which is old news now hahaha.
Erick Rowan sucked the entire AJ/Bryan match from anything it had. AJ matches always end up in bad spots as the crowd is usually exhausted by that point.
Brock/Finn meh...
Men's rumble was embarrassing...
And oh yes Kairi and Io.. too bad they won't win that tag belt.
Ronda's second promo was pure fucking fire. Finally getting back to her heel promos she was cutting going all the way back to her Strikeforce days.
That match was a disaster though
If this was November 2018, I'd expect them to keep pushing them both as babyfaces, but I think in this "new direction" they are actually going to go with what the crowd wants to do. Let Becky be the face, Ronda the heel, and take it from there. It just fits better.
I still find it hard to buy Becky as the "tough chick" of WWE when Ronda and Shayna are there, but her promo was great and her annoying fans kind of put her over for me. (She's still a mega heel to me mostly because of her annoying fans in the crowd and online). I hated how she no-sold Ronda's promo though. She should have looked confident but concerned, not like she's just listening to another wrestling promo.
