Just finished Summer Slam. What a main event! One of Brock's best matches. And it turned Seth from ice cold to super hot. Crowd didn't give a SHIT about him since they did the Becky stuff and having him get all beat up by his own fault. They were pretty much booing him. But this turned it around and now he's a megastar again

Raw has been a lot better lately (still way too long though). I've watched all the AEW shows, and they are all very good. Maybe not as good as NXT takeovers yet, but those shows have the advantage of weekly programming. Exciting times for sure. I wonder how much NXT will change once they get into "war mode". If they stop building towards Takeovers and start building to pop ratings, it's going to go way downhill

Any thoughts on NXT vs. AEW? WWE is really pushing the NXT brand now that they have competition.

They were both great shows! AEW has a unique mix of new school/old school/MMA/Sports style broadcast and it should stay fresh every week. The Riho/Nyla Rose match was really good, and the angle at the end was insane. Kenny Omega didn't wrestle much, but when he did he looked so much better than anyone else, on any roster really. I personally think he's the best wrestler in the world right now.

NXT basically put on a Takeover PPV event last night. It was an amazing show, and the matches were actually better than AEW's. They can't do that every week though. NXT looks low-rent though in that gymnasium. It was fine if it's a developmental show on the internet, but if they are competing with AEW, they need to put the show on the road.

AEW did 1.4 million viewers and NXT did 890K. AEW doubled NXT's 18-49 demo. That's day 1 though, can't draw much conclusions on that number. If this trend continues, expect Vince to go into panic mode and ruin NXT.

I'm more interested to see what Smackdown is like tomorrow. It's going to be HUGE. RAW seemed so much better with the new PBP guy (Jerry as always was great, the other guy seemed really nervous). But now we're back to Michael Cole screaming into our ears for 2 hours, repeating stupid catch phrases.

The Raw set looked phenomenal. really puts AEW's set to shame, but thats to be expected in terms of show.

The Rock is gonna be on smackdown tomorrow.

I think Smackdown tonight is gonna be fucking huge. Can't wait.

I'll be watching it later, I am looking forward to Brock vs Kofi more than any TV match I can recall in a long time! They're good friends, and you know how much Brock loves working with smaller guys who can bump. This should be awesome!

LMAO Couldn't have been further from the truth on this one. I feel bad for Kofi but man that place popped and the Cain angle is pretty good. It's interesting thinking that in scope of WWE Brock is the most legit "fighter" in the company but now comes Cain who literally whooped Brock's ass in the UFC. I guess they are gonna have a match at Crown Jewel. Cain is withdrawing from USADA (hopefully that lets him improve his physique) and will be officially retired from MMA.

Yup I was definitely disappointed that they just dropped Kofi to do the angle, although the angle itself was huge and cool.

I do hope Cain, who has INSANE cardio and is legit the most conditioned wrestler on the WWE roster, changes up his training and "supplement" to improve his physique. He's an insane athlete but looked REALLY bad out there with his flabby body, narrow shoulders, and huge knee brace. Especially when everyone else other than Shane looks really good. Anyone who didn't know who he was must have been really confused.

Also CV has like negative charisma, so I don't know if he'll get over. Brock will make him look like a million bucks, and I guess he has Rey as his mouthpiece, but after that? I have my doubts.

I'll be really disappointed if their match is at Crown Jewel

the ref calling for the bell because it was too violent...damn that was stupid and fans knew it, thus chanting of AEW..AEW.

That has to be the worst ending for a main event in WWE PPV history. The crowd absolutely turned on them, chanting AEW... That's the third time now that the crowd has started chanting AEW, and at the very least it has replaced "CM Punk" as the chant they do when WWE does something to piss them off.

What a lame, boring, shitty PPV. With all this hype, they put on a show like that.

Good opener, but that's it.

Also Asuka needs to turn on Kairi NOW and split them up and feud.

my god that main event is atrocious. whose fucking stupid idea is it to run a show like that with the lighting. it didnt look good on tv and i must imagine it must have sucked for the people inside the arena.
