barking in the neighbor

i almost hear it everyday
sounds like 2 dogs, a wimpy bark/crying kind.
right now i can hear it from my living room, sounds like its coming from a few houses up.
i also heard it last night, and almost everyday.
what can i do about it?

If you call the SPCA and have it come across as your concerned for the animals welfare there will be someone there quicker to check on things. Noise complaints are a little harder as more then one neighbour has to complain, and usually they want documented times and for how long you heard the noise. This is apparently done so that if a neighbour has no cause to call, and is doing it out of dislike, it filters those out.

Um...I probably wouldn't talk to your neighbour if you aren't very close to them. They will probably feel offended in some way or just blow you off. I dunno though, use your best judgement.

SPCA will just send them a letter they can't really do anything if the dogs aren't being abused.

My dog often howls at around 10:00pm, but it's usually because he hears some1 in the yard next door, or someone in the cul-de-sac...I'm pretty sure nobody can do shit about that...
