Are these prices set or do they do negotiating?

it's a little dinged but it seems okay... what will it need for service? timing belt/water pump/etc? another $1k on top easy?
Its still got relatively low mileage. Only 97k. You shouldn't need to worry about water pump and timing belt until past 130k. I have an '02 Lexus and the manual recommend it to be done at 144k. If your friend buys this car, then she still has at least another 2 years to go before doing a timing belt job.

Funny how the specification sheet for that Camry says "5 Speed Standard".

the only thing I always wonder about, is the kinds of people who get their car repo'd. right now it's people who got fucked by the economy but before I always would've thought the kind of people that end up with their car repo'd aren't exactly the people you want to receive a car from.

Exactly. People that can't afford the payments (and gets theri car repo'ed) are mostly the same people that can't afford the maintenance either. I'd definately proceed with caution.

I almost bought a 05 Mazda 3 Sport fully loaded (leather + moonroof + 5spd) back in 2006 for $11,000. I thought the price was really awesome. I had specifically asked the lot person if there were any accidents on the car. He said NO. I took the car for a spin, it drove striaght, engine was smooth, clutch was good. So I walked in to sign the papers. When filling the transfer form, they had declared the car had no prior accidents. Before I signed the dotted line, I asked for the ICBC report. I used their computer to buy a report and lord and behold, there was an eff-ing $12,000 claim on it. I'm like WTF? Needless to say, I demanded the sales contract to be voided and I walked out.

Shenmecar: You better check to see if the warranty on the tranny is still valid on the Accord V6. They're nice cars, but the trannies are built with glass.

ughi know how you feel... so just ignore the inspection report they post up? i just assumed that the "existing structural claims" part meant they had done a history report check but from what too_slow is saying that is not true either.

is a bcca inspection is enough to determine if it's good or not? it's my understanding that the vehicles can only been inspected on-site?

right now anything is better than the POS she is driving now

it had almost 150k kms on it, rust from body damage, and some sort of damage to the interior (looks like a huge burn mark on the carpet)

looks like almost all of their cars are hovering around 100k kilometers.. so it seems like a good deal but isnt.. prices are the same for decent milage cars as everywhere else.

they are not stupid.
