I got my BB pearl From Telus Connect (metrotown) and got the extended warranty (purchased Dec 2007)
I'm having a couple issues:
-when I receive calls, sometimes it goes to speakerphone for a second or two by itself
-phone shuts off by itself every now and then
My question is: is that enough for them to replace my phone? I never dealt with warranty on a phone before...

I have the exact same problem as you.. telus keeps telling me that it is fine.. so annoying... Also sometimes when it goes to the speakerphone, it won't go off for about 3 seconds and then disconnects the call...
