LOL I was more performance minded, but sure! Let's say they were both xi's too..

That's about 3k more to the prices I listed, the 335xi is 1k more expensive and would still rape the 3.2 A4.. lol..265hp vs a under-rated 300hp...

Then the 328xi, 43k vs 45k, the 328xi is still cheaper and the numbers are still better then the A4's, 230hp vs 211hp

i will still recommend the A4 even tho is more expenive compare to the 328xi
A4 is still are more fuel efficent compare to the 328xi
and offers almost the same performance

Isn't 328xi 6-cyl and A4 is 4-cyl?

Based on 45% highway driving, 55% city driving, 15000 miles/year and Prem.: $2.28 per gallon, A4's annual fuel cost=$1368 and 328xi'=$1710. That's a difference of $342...I don't think that should really be the "make or break" in your decision on car that costs as much as the A4 and 328xi.

I was thinking about leasing the A4 this past weekend but I went with a 335i coupe instead. The A4 was nice but the lease payments were quite high compared to a e90/e92 335i and I found BMW dealers were more willing to give a better deal compared to Audi.

this is true. when the signal lamp is on, that side of LED lamps will deactivate. I saw this happen on the street before. I totally thought the same thing, and thought that one side was screwed up. but then I noticed the blinking signal lamp and I clued in. LED bulbs last an insane amount of time, so they won't burn out so quickly.

I also though of another thing that Audi could have done. They could have integrated more LED bulbs into their LED lamp assembly. a secondary series of bulbs (in between the white bulbs) that are AMBER in colour, to activate when you turn on a signal lamp. I think that transition would be uber cool and not very expensive to implement for Audi.

We got one last month. If you're in it for the looks (imo the best looking in its class inside and out), the quattro system and the good fuel consumption than I say its a good buy. Otherwise, if you want the best handling vehicle out there, go for a BMW. But the Audi isn't too far behind in terms of performance. I still think it handles beautifully and the ride is comfortable, even more if you get Audi Drive Select.

We got the Quattro 2.0T Premium Package

Edit: When Audi says Tiptronic, is it the new dual-clutch system or is it just normal steptronic? I think it was called the DSG?
I did the numbers when we were shopping for a car, and with options the 328i goes pretty close to the A4 2.0T. 45k in the A4 gets you the Premium package with a good list of standard equipment already - leather, led drls, bluetooth, three-zone climate control, rain-sensing wipers, etc....I don't think you get those on a 39k 328i.

hp is one thing, but if you look at the 2.0T's torque (258lb-ft) it is pretty strong off the line (its even more powerful than the 3.2's 243 lb-ft). And yeah, the tiptronic tranny is just the normal steptronic. I hear the DSG will come later, possibly when its refreshed.

congrats on your purchase and nice car

Are Heated Seats included as standard equipment?

What else is "standard" on the A4 2.0T Premium?

Thanks I'm loving it so far. My only regret is not getting it in white, which looks helluva lot better.

Yes, heated seats on both the driver and front passenger come with the premium package. Other than what I've already mentioned, the others are Audi symphony 6-disc music player (for even more money, you can upgrade to B&O), audi music interface (iPod integration), more chrome in the exterior, bi-xenon lights, and some more that I've already forgotten. Just go to http://ak4-fr.audi.de/controller?nex...ant=accx-ca-en to compare the models.

I love the new A4 wagons.. I'm really dissapointed that they're not giving you the option to buy one with a 6spd manual

and then another $10,000 for tires and fuel costs?

I think the OP has concerns of practicality and fuel economy, so a C63 is probably out of his budget.

Gold.

@ tofu - they are getting bigger. Cars get bigger all the time, especially in North America. My CSX is HUGE compared to my old 2000 Civic.

That, and the space, too. I used to have trouble sitting comfortably in the old Civic's back seat. In the CSX I can slouch down and still have space for my knees.
