where can i find good aftermarket parts for 04-08 rx8??
 

hi, as you can see, i have no idea where i can get my hands on good parts for the car.
i tried exoticspeed, but i think all their stuff is over priced, so i really dont feel like going back there.

any idea??? looking for alllll sorts of parts, and especially a good set of wide body kit.

if you know any shop selling any good part for the car at decent prices please let me know!!

local prices will always be higher than online prices, as websites don't have the same overhead an actual shop does. sometimes its worth the extra money. and a lot of times the price comes out almost the same once you factor in cost of the item + shipping + taxes + duty if its not made in the USA

and ya, just outta curiousity, what you gotta do to be qualified for sponsoring?? you get discounted prices on parts if ur sponsored or something?? enter shows??

you mean by a shop? take your plans to shops that do work like that and see if they are looking for a shop car. once you become sponsored you have to whore the car out. internet, shows that kinda thing.

as for getting a 20b swap done, the engine alone will cost you ~5000 rebuilt maybe? maybe a bit more depending what you do to it...

then there is the labour for fabrication to make it fit.

i would expect to pay 10-15k on the 20b swap alone.

then widebody install + paint at a bodyshop will be another 3-5k maybe?

so you're at 20-25k now. hope you have deep pockets.

an REW swap might be a better idea, they are cheaper to acquire, and i think they require less fabrication work. not sure though.


talk to Staff's Auto or ForceFedPerformance, those are the only two shops that would touch a project like that. there are 2-3 other rotary shops, but they are more restoration specialists than performance shops.

Dont go to Exoticspeed, heard owner is in debt, and wont even bother negotiating, he takes pride in his customer service but would go that extra step in ripping you off.

knew the owner myself, had many other friends who got ripped off by him, he will tell you what you get its the best price, and then after you get your "best price" you'll later find him sellingt he exact same shit for way less some where else.
