I'd take the TL
but I am biased. Get black and paint the grill. Looks pretty good after that.

if leasing, i'd take the genesis.. if financed, i'd get the TL just because it will have a bit better re-sale value

Genesis, or old TL. The new TL is extremely hideous.

The same could be said about the TL, how many people here have actually driven one? I'm not a huge fan of the grill either, but try driving one, its a whole new car, muuuch better than the previous generation

yes i have. the way it drives is not the issue (which is great btw)... it's the look. not my cup of tea and from the responses here, i'm not alone

still hoping to try a genesis though. i hope it isn't a dog... reviews of the car seem to favor it well.

Here is the best way to answer this.

If the Acura was the Hyundai and the Hyundai was the Acura, would we be having this conversation?

Don't buy into the name.

That doesn't make sense.. if you are leasing and assume that the Genesis has low resale value (which I don't think it does).. you will have to make a larger monthly payments to make up the difference.

Money doesn't grow on trees.

i'd take genesis. the stereo IS amazing, so is interior, ride quality, and value. engine does give that much 'umph' for a v8, but then its a heavy car.

Found a decent looking replacement grill online. RonJon Grill

There was one from E & G grills or something but that one made it look like a caddy.

Not at all. The bigger visual problem with the TL imo is the rear

Hey everyone:

I am going to add one more car into the mix: G37x AWD Sport. So between the three cars (2009 Acura TL, 2009 Hyundai Genesis Sedan, and 2009 G37x AWD Sport) Which one would you choose?

G37 no brainer. Coz you have firm resale value.
