Capital Drift - Season Opener video

'ello all, my first go at shooting video and editing, from a drift day locally last week, thought I might as well post it up :)

EDIT: Reuploading to Vimeo, the encoding from the upload sucked balls and is compressed as hell.

^If that gets embedded, go to the link and press HD, and start it from the beginning, or else it'll usually be choppy (youtube problem)

Adsdeman 04-22-2009 10:13 AM

Awsome, never seen camber like the front wheels on the ae86. Good vid man, only thing u need is a tripod.

All these drifting videos are just sporadically just appearing all over the net.

Great video, but I have a feeling he was on a tripod. He just needs a better tripod, or loosen the panning control a bit more.

!e.lo_ 04-22-2009 05:47 PM

nice vid. great quality and well put together.
poor fc..

Mananetwork 04-22-2009 05:58 PM

I think if you didn't zoom in and out as much and found a good composition to shoot from your video will look so much nicer. I mean it's a good start, but i'm sure once you start doing it more you'll invest in some more gear that will better stabilize your shots, ect

Get my drift ?

*Do you see what I just did there! Ya.. drift.... nevermind!*

Leopold Stotch 04-22-2009 05:59 PM

nice vid and editing

the shots are nice. some of them are too close up though, doesn't really show the banks or curves of the circuit.

and yea. poor FC.

+Kardboard+ 04-22-2009 06:52 PM

I really liked the lack of a tripod in the beginning; gave it a "breathing" feel. Everywhere else...you kinda needed it. :p

Love the vid. The BC plates made me hot. :p

And freaky front camber 86 is freaky! Whoa!

mx100 04-22-2009 07:16 PM

great editing!

Thanks for sharing

hope to see more of your work in the near future!

SpuGen 04-22-2009 07:18 PM

For the record, I totally watched it first.
Like actually right after he uploaded it.

I win.
haha!

metal 04-22-2009 08:15 PM

Ahah most of that WAS on a tripod, the night stuff I shot handheld. Yeah I just used my photo tripod, doesn't have a really fluid head, so lesson learned. No clue who owned the supra Rob. FC was that one that Tyee had for a long time, I think it was pretty majorly abused.

Learned some stuff shooting this and working on it after, so the next one will be much improved!

+Kardboard+ 04-22-2009 09:35 PM

Can't wait. Bring it on!
