Either way, it was a sad and painful way to go and there's no point ripping on the guy.

Ezekiel 25:17. The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.

Only morons think that abiding by an arbitrary number on a sign will be equivalent to driving with the least amt of risk.

Yeah, going 120 in an 80 zone doesn't increase the risk at all.

Word. Its somebody's kid and he was way too young to die. Its sad but at the very least he died while doing what he loves - riding a motorcycle.

RIP to a fellow rider.

Even if he was speeding and tried to avoid the person in the wheelchair, he may have lost control of the bike in doing so. Emergency maneuvers can be difficult on a bike with an experienced rider. Many variables could have affected the outcome.

- arms stiffening up from panic resulting in not being able to turn the handlebars
- hit the front brake too hard, lost traction
- hit the rear brake too hard, lock the rear
- maybe the rider didn't know how to countersteer to perform emergency maneuvers

Whatever happened, RIP.

-If you drive the route twice, that increases risk too. Just drive reasonable and prudent. I've always found it safest to drive slightly faster than traffic around me.
