2007 Honda Fit fuel economy

Is there anyone that could answer why my car (stock) with low KM's is getting such horrible results. In the city and driving average I'm getting 11.5L/100km. Tired of argueing with Honda Canada about it

^ i've never heard of a fit with good fuel consumption.

my neighbour only gets about 400 ish to a tank. before the light comes on. which is about
9.6L/100km if he boots it he gets about 11L/100mm

also having an auto yields poorer results.

this is all from what i've heard, no experience with the car really

Is it due to a smaller tank? How much is it to ffill up from almost empty?

I got 440 km to the light in the winter.

Now that it has warmed up a bit i'm hitting 470 km at the light.

I have an 08 manual.

Fill ups are around 35L for me.

7.4L - 8L/100km

It all depends on how you drive and if the engine is broken in yet? Fit engines take up to the second service before they finally wear in.

yeah.. i think the fits and civics might be the same. my civic took till the second service before i got better gas mileage. before, i was getting like ~400km/tank but now i get around ~450/tank which lasts me just right under 2 weeks

How big is the fit's engine? 1.6? 11.5 sounds pretty bad for a fit, I thought thats what their main selling point was? Great gas mileage?

It depends on how you drive. Hard acceleration, shifting too low or too high will give you not as good. If you're high way, 60-65mph is the sweet spot for crazy gas mileage.

i hav 07 fit and i get ~450 every tank, sometimes more sometimes less
and thats with 99% city driving

if i go on the highway it easily goes over 550

but ya, like k20 said if u shift too low it hurts economy as well
