Question: buying junkyard / salvage vehicle

Car has blown engine but everything else is fine, I just want the shell. Do I still need to get vehicle registration transfer for buying junkyard / salvage vehicle?

mod please feel free to move this thread if it's in wrong section.

All owners of a vehicle must have the proper registration of ownership. If the junkyard does not provide it you must apply to ICBC for it..... technically that is. If your just buying and then taking all the parts off it and then taking it back then no you don't have to.

Keep in mind if it was listed as Dismantle Only for some reason and that's why it's in the wrecker your NOT allowed to just put a motor in it and insure it. If its just there because the motor blew up and someone left it on the side of the road check the status with ICBC before hand.

Berz out.
