Just curious who went and how you did, didn't see any other posts about it so I thought I'd voice my curiosity

at 11.5 second does the GTR have to be equipped with a cage for future runs?
I forgot is it 11.0 or 12.0 sec where you need to add a rollbar to the car. That would suck for the GTR.
Also how fast do you have to be to require a helmet?

# Cars running 11.49 or quicker ET's (and all convertibles running 13.49 and quicker) must have an NHRA approved roll bar, SFI approved seat belts & jacket.(frame connectors and wheel tubs OK). All cars equipped with a standard transmission running 11.49 and quicker must have an SFI approved bellhousing, flywheel and clutch.
# Cars running 10.99 or quicker ET's must have approved aftermarket axles, harmonic balancer and transmission shield meeting spec. 4.1. Any car running 10.99 or quicker ET's that has had major alterations to the firewall and/or floor plan and/or any car exceeding 135 MPH (regardless of ET) must also have an NHRA approved roll cage and window net.
| so he is very close to be needing a roll bar, not quite a cage. Quote:
Drivers of cars running 13.99 or quicker are required to wear an NHRA approved Snell 2000 or newer helmet

Supercar rules state that if your car comes factory able to run a time at the track your allowed to run it without the mods that other cars would need.
I was there but not racing I got there late. Congrats to Lowell for running 10's and Marco as well.
Berz out.

Awww, berz! I knew I should have gone to the other end. I saw Lomac near the end of the night and he said some others were there (I think). and I know k20a was racing as well. He did pretty good I think!
Did anyone happen to get pictures of my brother? Mine aren't that great since I was standing mid-track with our stuff and some rotary buddies. His was the 1990 kitted white rx-7 with gold wheels..
Edit: http://www.flickr.com/photos/3662335...7617348748360/ There are some of the pictures I took. I haven't finished editing them yet.

Yup, I was there with the POC club. I got there pretty late in the evening (8:30 or so), and only one of our members was racing his car, but I believe he was having some issues and wasn't pulling the numbers he should have been.
Asides from Raid3n and Inaii, I'm pretty sure I saw a couple of you there but I don't quite feel like walking up to someone and asking, "Hey, are you Berzerker?" and get a weird look if I've asked the wrong person. |
