Running without fender liners?
 

Car's too low, it used to rub a bit on the bigger bumps but after the snow storm, it screwed up the fender liners a bit. Now that I put the summer wheels back on, it rubs a lot. Would it be okay if I used seam sealer to seal up everything and sprayed that rubberized underbody stuff all over?

i remember this being asked before.

long time ago i used to know someone with a slammed accord that was so low he had to take the fender liners out of the front, and one day his tires kicked up something big and it tented one of the fenders from the inside out. it was not repairable and he had to get a new fender and a very expensive respray because his car had custom paint on it... i think it took a VI from the police afterwards to finally convince him that low was not financially feasible :o

My old Civic was missing its passenger side inner fender. After a while, the passenger door hinges got really munged-up and made horrible noises when you opened or closed the door. Also, the engine bay on that side always got extremely dirty. It sucked.

older cars = rust without them

but if you spray it off with the underlay or w/e i think it would be fine

....just buy a new car already.. :D

I don't run em on my car and the only shitty thing is dirt getting in the door area where the hinges are.

Well, really, all I have in the front trunk is a spare tire, the power steering and air conditioning. It's completely sealed off from the empty space in the fenders..

If you are getting rubbing, either cut out a section and leave the door jam covered so you don't get rocks/dirt in there. I got so many rocks in my door jam in my Lexus SC400 with no fender liner.

Another option is use a heat gun on the plastic and use a towel to push the liner up to give you more clearance.
