ha, my friend went there about 5 years ago with his vr6 corrado. they put the wrong oil filter on he made it about 5 block before the engine seized. Through much hassling he got them rebuild the engine through clarkdale. And when I say they put on the wrong filter I mean it they mashed it on, the threads were different and nothing lined up. |

esp since everyone needs oil changes and are too lazy to go do it themselves, and don't trust dealerships simply, cuz everyone is a following sheep? but yes... if i had money i would. |
as for claims lately.. there was an ML claim, but quite a while back. it involved a faulty rubber gasket that blew on the owner. the car had its oil change a while back itself, and based on time and mileage, it was actually over due. leaked everywhere. got onto serp belt, which was paid for by mr lube. uh.. owner was very dissatisfied and actually is gonna sue the place, as i talked with current supervisor and theyre gonna settle it in court, between the car's owner, the tech and the manager. LOL other one was a mazda 3 as of late. lower tech forgot replace rubber seal for the cannister filter with a new one, it leaked, owner kept on driving till engine seized. .... as of the ML situation posted on this thread, i've talked with the guys about it, and no offense, the C-lai has over exaggerated the thing. i talked with the guys and told me about it. situation was exactly as stated, but the post itself was exaggerated in many notches. but yep. this is what i hear from the guys that i used to work with. |
