Neill actually did a lot of work in Vancouver, from what my teachers told me he started out with Stargate and was going to direct the Halo live action film (he also did the commercials). He has a shit ton of awesome short films that are about robots as well as the first realistic Citroen transformer. There was also a short film of this before Peter Jackson made it into a feature length film.
