IMO 198,000 before tax + options is a steal for something with that kind of exclusivity ... for now, but yeah gallardos/r8/DB9/Continentals are a dime a dozen these days in Vancouver. SLS might be next though who knows.

SLS always appealed to me though even though I admit it has a dorky pair of eyes but overall styling is unique and the profile silhouette is pretty unique

^ I've already seen more SLS than I do Lambos and given that the SLS is fairly new I am gonna say its gonna get played out well exotic car terms wise I guess

Yeah remember in Top Gear JC said "Mercedes basically thought hey I got 2 feet let's shoot one"

So for some time the SLR was sold in parallel with the SLS while the SLS out performs the SLR with a lower MSRP....

it was a strange situation....not strange to Mercedes though if you remember what they did with the 500E. "I don't need ain't no Porsche to teach me how to build no super cars...." and kicked Porsche off the production. This time it's McLaren that gets the Mercedes kick.

I know it's on an exotic and all but what's with the ricer treatment to the interior sheesh.

wasnt the last year of production of the SLR 2009? the SLS came out in 2010, so I don't see how they could have sold SLRs and SLS at the same time

also,
SLR 0-60 is rated at 3.2 seconds. Road and track did it in 3.4 < that's hyper car fast
SLS 0-60 is rated at 3.8 seconds. <that's barely supercar fast, since the 2010 911 Turbo, which costs about the same, was tested to hit 60 in 2.7 seconds with the PDK
