Yes, I agree.

I googled Holden cars... and the Jaguar looks very, very similar.

Was working with my dad today and chatted up his customer... Turns out he has a heavily modified 996 Turbo with a full techart widebody kit and martini racing livery... Showed me pictures and YouTube videos of it. Was never a huge fan of 996s but his was definitely an exception lol

I always think about Jeremy Clarksons segment from top gear on fast jags. Even if they did look great I wouldn't buy one.

Segment in question:

It's a shame about Jaguar. They've tried everything to revive their brand but they still can't sell cars in NA. The biggest issue with Jag is the reputation of reliability of their cars, it's a reputation they can't shake off no matter how hard they try. And the crazy depreciation on Jags isn't helping.

Sir William Lyons would be rolling in his grave if he saw that baby blue sedan with vents, wings, and other gaudy bits.

agreed.

I thought they were more "90's AMG" subtle.. instead of this flashy carbon bits and wings bolted onto a Jag...

Jags to me always had this elegance and class...

They are slowly starting to get it right I think, the F Type and the cancelled CX-75 is amazing. The interior needs work, it looks nice but when you start touching it and knocking it, it doesn't have the same solid heavy feel like a Porsche for example.

F type is still a very niche car. I mean, it's pretty nice and a great upgrade on their previous 2 door sport entries but at that price point you better love Jag to grab one

^That's true, I'm seeing them listed for 100k, that's a pretty penny. When it comes to luxury cars, people always look to M-B, Audi, BMW, etc. It takes intent to look for a Jaguar.

Also, at 100k, I would rather buy a used Vantage.

It's almost impossible to compete against Mercedes, BMW and Audi. If I was in the market today for a full size luxury sedan I wouldn't even have the XJ in my top 3 and who in their right mind would take say the XJ over the new S Class? And who would fork over $100k+ for a F-Type when have other cars in this price range that perform better? There might some good news for Jag and that's their SUV which looks pretty damn nice but than again at that price point you'll have tons of other choices.

Like I said, it's a shame about Jag but all that been said my uncle has a 2012 XJ and the build quality is amazing, drives nice and doesn't look bad minus the rear. I actually like it better than my 7 series which I find boring but it still would sway me to buy a XJ.

Enough homo talk. More cars.

A classic example of a beautiful Porsche 911sc

(And if you can't appreciate a classic Porsche, you are either vegan or an environmentalist. Or worse - both.)

Pull your head out of your ass. You failed to get the joke. That or you lack a sense of humour.

Actually, while my head was up my ass, I could still tell your "joke" was shit.

This guy comes in here slamming vegans and environmentalists (not that I care for either), then gets all hurt when people call his shit. Now that's a joke.

Slamming vegans and environmentalists, then goes and rides his hippy cycle later. All in a days work.

I'm just living up to my hipster image. What about you? *yawn* Surprised your even managed to get your head up your ass. You give off the impression that it's too tight as it is.

Hey, nevermind. The sun's out. I'm going for a bike ride and grabbing a cup of certified-organic single serve coffee.

Excellent contribution to the forum, chap. Keep up the great work.
