that A3 dash looks so bare for an Audi.... not used to it. Usually Audis have a nice dash design along with fairly nice materials.

I was there a couple days ago. Traded my A5 for a new A4 which I'm getting mid Feb and also had them take a look at my 7 for a trade in for that white RS7. They're waiting to hear back from BMW so hopefully they can give me a decent price for the trade but right now it doesn't look like it so might hold off. I also looked at that S8, the sales guy told me to wait 3 years and pick one up for half the price lol. The sticker on that bad boy was $143k and I think it's been sitting on the lot for a few months now.

I have to say imo, minus the navi screen which looks out of place (hopefully you can order one without it or at least hide it), the interior actually looks great and reminds me a lot of the 1st gen TTs. Clean/simple interior with a great looking steering wheel and seats, is definitely a refreshing change from all the overly complicated interiors nowadays.

Nice...

Did you test drive a RS7 yet?

If so, spill the details please!

Your choice of vehicles is impeccable. I love large saloons.

My thoughts exactly. The interior screams 1st gen TT, the simplicity and straightforward non-nonsense styling is refreshing to look at in a sea of complicated and over-styled interiors manufacturers are dishing out nowadays.

Minus the nav screen of course :ilied:

The A3's navi screen can be hidden when it is not in use. Also at the open road A3 launch I was told that the S3's wouldn't be available until late September at the earliest, don't know about the other dealerships.

Agreed! I wish I could Thank more than once for your pic. Those cars are just amazing in every way except gas mileage. LOL!

As for the Navi Audi comments, yes the screen folds nicely into the dash area completely out of sight. I actually prefer this so as to not waste space on a non-folding screen.

Nope, haven't had a chance to test drive it. I might ask my sales person when I go in to pick up my car but than again I might wait because I don't want to test drive it and be heartbroken because I can't buy it :(

On a side note, my A5 was from openroad. The sales guy I dealt with when I got my A5 moved on to Mercedes so I was dealing with a new guy. Openroad refused to give any sort of deal for my A5 and the new A4. In fact they wanted $1,500 on top of a $2,500 down payment and didn't mention any loyalty discount for Audi owners. Richmond Audi not only gave a better price for the A4, they also gave me the loyalty discount and only asked for $2,000 down. That's a straight saving of $2,000 just on the down payment so it's always good to shop around.

I am a big fan of simple dash designs as well, but a sucker for premium materials.

However, im used to seeing Audis with many buttons on the centre console and a fussy designed dash...

Nice spotting.

Unfortunately, no, because a couple of potenza (pun intended) customers with a salesman was looking at the car at that time (they were deciding on either the S7 or the RS5 Cab) when I got out of the building.

Shame it doesn't have the dogleg gearbox or it would be well worth a look.

Mr.Stubbz 01-30-2014 02:48 PM

^ i would love to see dogleg gearboxes on modern track focused cars actually, makes a lotta sense for them to have it imo
