I wonder how much it cost to send these cars via air to China? I believe from Dubai to London it's something like $20k one way.
Standard freight costs would be a good start. A few months ago it was about $8/kg for basic air freight. The car is about 1650kg. Works out to $13,200. Not including any special handling costs.
Lol cars are shipped via long haul containers to china. Cost is around 30k to 50k for shipping takes about 2-3 months. After that u need to pay 160% tax for import and the car sits in one of the many docks for at least 1 month. Not including bribery and registration and licensing
I saw this McLaren pass by me and park, I noticed something on the side of the car but I just thought it was the sun shining and my eyes were playing tricks on me...
Then I went to get a closer look... I could not believe my eyes...
I cried inside.

Went by a quick show and shine on the way home today (Every Wednesday at the A&W in South Surrey from 6-8)...here's a few of cars including the Shelby Superformance Cobra a couple of pages back.

Unfortunately the condition of the car looked pretty rat bagged. Not at all how a true enthusiast would treat this masterpiece. It was a really sad sight.

It has become apparent that most of the supercars in this city are not owned by "true enthusiasts".
No surprise at some scuffs and rim curbs.
modern supercars these days are now capable of being daily drivers, unlike those of yesteryears that spend most of their lives being repaired/trailer queens/sunday driver, so yeah this kind of damage is going to be the norm.

That's part of the problem, they should be hell to daily drive so that we don't have to deal with these worthless weenies driving them who don't give two shits about the car beyond it being a status symbol.

Great spot. Dream car for sure. Looks like an '85 though so not as desirable. Loved these cars since I was a kid. I don't think I've seen one for sale that is below $17k.

True. But modern supercars are also loaded up with computers and aides to help the owners operating their cars properly; sensors and parking cameras are a couple examples. Real drivers and careful owners normally wouldn't end up banging their car against a cement pylon or curbing their 20 grand rims.
