Why does it matter? Just enjoy the car.

Z3guy 05-22-2014 08:18 AM

from my understanding, the the guy who bought the first P1 in Vancouver paid +$500,000 over msrp to be first........you are balling out of control when you are willing to basically give your brand new Aventador away to be first in person with a P1!!!

G 05-22-2014 08:41 AM

It is obvious money is not an issue. Congrats to him, hope to see it around town. Anyone know the expected delivery dates of the other P1's in Canada?

Congrats to him, everyone has different values and ways of qualifying their own identities so its meaningless to criticise their choice of car purchases

To be honest, his instagram is not as obnoxious as I thought it would be for a young rich guy... I was thinking it'd be more like Rich Kids Of Instagram

The next P1 (factory order) will hopefully arrive just on time for LSW this summer. There's also another car ordered that will be arriving later in the year.

its the bit at the end of his comment which says "but in Vancouver they just don't feel that special". how in the world does a 911 not feel special? because it doesn't get you noticed?? i'm sorry, but who the fuck cares.. the 911 is a precision crafted machine. any one who does not appreciate them is a fucking turd that you dont need in your life.

In the end, they're nothing special in Vancouver. Come to West Van, you'll see housewives doing grocery shopping in 911s.

And I've driven enough 911s to appreciate them...

Kinda sad that a car that goes for well over 100k new is "nothing special". I guess its because I'm poor that this a big deal to me. I've also never had the pleasure of riding in a 911 before either. One day....

It is also sad that an average house in Vancouver could cost over a million bucks.

When is the market crashing???

westopher 05-23-2014 01:11 AM

The week after I blow my whole down payment on an aircooled 911 and an e30 m3, just to let me know how fucking stupid I am.

knight604 05-23-2014 01:32 AM

I think it's pretty normal . The wife might think not.

buying newer cars is always one of the worst financial investment because they depreciate so fast. However, if you were not planning on a buying property within the next 5yrs, buying a classic 911 and E30 M3 might actually be a decent holding investment (get to enjoy your downpymt vs your money sitting in the bank), because air cooled manual 911s and E30 M3 are just going to go up in price........just hope nothing major goes wrong with either awesome car.

westopher 05-23-2014 09:43 AM

I can't wait to show this to my wife. That's what I've been saying all along.

knight604 05-23-2014 10:51 AM

Yeah they say every year e30 m3 is going to increase in pricing.

Give me a shout if you're at one of the local meets, I'll be happy to pop your cherry :)

Honestly I think the average ones have peaked and may be dropping a bit. The crazy low milage ones will always command a premium. I'd be happy with one that has 200k because I plan on bagging the shit out of it without feeling bad about it.
