Jebus, this thread has gone off topic. Let's stick to posting sick cars and leaving the convo for another thread.

Beautiful day out today, so I decided to take a drive out to White Rock.

Getting close to the beach, when all of a sudden this beauty caught my eye... (sorry for the potato pics)

Is that...?

Yep, it was. Busted a quick u-turn and took a look at in person.

My love for sleepers is deep, and it's even better when it's a wagon. I would LOVE to own one of these one day.
P.S. - Forgot to mention, as it's not clear in my pic, it's the AMG 'S' model. So jelly.

Hello newer gen Z06

Even though Shark Tank's comments are so stupid I have to agree with him on the NSX.
I don't see the hype on NSX.
Sure it has the look of an exotic but its lack of performance of an exotic.
Yes it was fast in the early 90s, even better performer than the Ferrari 348, but now is already mid way of 2014.
Those who call themselves NSX-fanatic wouldn't even buy one even they have the money.
An early year NSX are selling for 40ish G but people still rather buy STi, Evos, 3 Series, or even fully loaded Accord or Camry.
There is a 2001 NSX-T with less than 20k (This is just MINT) asking 80g for some time but yet no one pick it up yet. In fact, there are Porsches, Ferrari, Maserati, M3, GTR etc rolling out of the show room every day.

belaud 06-25-2014 11:59 PM

Drive one, then you'll understand.

Didn't know the hype behind S2000 until I bought one, it is my most favourite car so far in terms of a daily even though its "underpowered" and "hyped".

People won't buy NSX' for 40g's because they are looking for newer vehicles that have warranty, peace of mind and creature comfort.

The people who will buy an NSX are those that are in the market for one, those that are actually looking for an NSX.

westopher 06-26-2014 12:22 AM

Everyone has their car that they'd spend money on that doesn't add up. It makes sense that the NSX is one of them as so many people got into cars via Honda. It's just like how I'd blow 35k on an e30 m3 even though they are slow, unreliable and basically stupid. It's got soul.

You're going to see Vancouver flooded with M3/M4's over the coming months.

Not sure if real deal or rep

donjalapeno 06-26-2014 07:27 AM

By late August the new M3/M4 is going to played out. The upside to this is that hopefully the e90 M3 price goes down a bit. So that i can afford one :okay:

trollguy 06-26-2014 07:50 AM

played out?

Theyre rare enough with the sedan and 6 speed combo....

id take any color honestly.... even the red :fuckthatshit:

The comp pack cars are nice... but I think they usually came with the M-DCT

Hondaracer 06-26-2014 10:42 AM

Front end on the new m3's is kinda meh feels like it could be just a 32X looks different but doesn't really have that distinctive aggressive look to it like previous gen

True, there will be a lot of m3/m4s... but its because a LOT of people know these BMW m3/m4's are sexy and performs like a beast... doesn't mean that they are played out.

It's like saying FRS/BRZ are played out. STI, EVO, Genesis coupes, 350z/370z, G35/G37 are played out. Maseratis and Astons are played out. Lambos and ferrari's are played out.

Only a handful of not played out cars exists like Maclaren P1, Paganis, Koeniggseggs and Bugatti.

Everything else is played out.

What isn't played out? Old ass BMWs and Porsches from the 80's/90's? Only reason why they aren't played out is because no one trusted those cars back then and yes they are rare now but most car enthusiasts still wouldn't want to deal with known problems that exists in those cars.

Seems like most people on here would give up their left nut for old cars like NSX, R34, E3x and etc.

Not saying they are bad, but everyone outside of revscene (and prob. majority of RS) would prefer to buy a car and expect it to be working perfectly for atleast 3 years.

Harvey Specter 06-26-2014 01:54 PM

The m3 sedan is pretty rare. I know someone on my block that has one, black on black. Sounds like a beast when it rolls down my block.

I've never seen the term 'played out' used so much in one post until now.

Perhaps words like rare, unique, or common would be better?

trollguy 06-26-2014 02:44 PM

Wait. You were trolling right?

bcrdukes 06-26-2014 02:45 PM

Fuck. The term you're referring to is mainstream.

trollguy 06-26-2014 02:45 PM
