I would NEVER recommend someone buy a demo car. It's better to buy something with 20 000km, which was not beaten on all the time, than to buy a demo car which has been beaten on and floored around since there was only 10km on the ODO.

Think about what goes on during test drives, and then think about how many test drives a demo car with 6800km goes on.

Sure it could have been a sales managers car or something, but even then, the guy didn't give a flying fuck about the car, he probably raped it from day 1 as well, and even then i've been sent out on test drives in a managers "personal vehicle" when the dealership ran out of dealer plates on a busy day.

That M6 GC has been sitting on the lot since winter and it hasn't moved since. And I don't understand the person responsible for the ad, how hard is it to take new pictures? You're selling a $130k car but yet you post a picture which shows "0.5c" on the dash. Like seriously?

So not only was it a demo car but it's also been sitting around for a good 6 months, can you say future lemon.

Are demo cars also loaner cars?

Yes, most demo cars are loaners. The higher end cars like the 6,7 and M cars you see as demos are usually manager driven.

I just came from BJ, looked at the M5 and M6 and M6 GC. The M6 GC is the nicest one of all, but i would have to take the M5 due to the larger rear seats! Family life son.

I was at BJ today picking up some moulding clips. 170k for that M6 GC in there. Thats literally fucking retarded. They are taking a page out of porsches handbook for options that double the price of the car, that are marked up 60000% of what they are worth. Granted, I'm not ballin enough for them to care, but people should know when they are getting hosed, rich or not.
Porsche options: Home of the $1300 USB cable.
Now BMW is joining the party I guess.

Look at the M4 which is nearing $100k with options and taxes, it's beyond ridiculous to pay $100k for a 4 series. And the i8 is nearing $200k with options and dealer markups, again beyond ridiculous.

Buy a used 2012 M5, they're starting to sell below $80k.

I'd rather get that(M4) compared to its rivals.

I don't think that is a fair or accurate observation in regards to manager demos. I receive a company vehicle every few months and treat them as if they are my own vehicle. If I were to thrash every car my company vehicle benefit would be gone. Additionally, when you are driving something new every few months, the desire to "rape" each new car is significantly diminished. Finally, all services, quirks or defects are handled to spec as there is usually no out of pocket expense to the manager.

Some food for thought.

Kev

the B7 is my ultimate luxury sedan. s63/s65 just doesn't appeal to me and the A8 & Audi always plays catchup to MB & BMW.

I fucking love the Alpina rims just cruising around anyone who knows their car shit will know your driving a B7. Its the prestige factor and knowing your luxury sedan can smoke 99% of vehicle on the road with ease.

White CF roof Alpina B7 would be my family/everyday vehicle

It really depends what demo car you are buying, I believe only managers get to take higher models especially when it comes to M models
