lol @ 18K down and $760 per month for a car that's based on A class...
Yeah it pretty much makes no sense.
If I load a CLA45 on the mercedes website (i'm talking every fucking option, inlcuding the ridiculous stuff like CF trim, and parktronic) the price is 67, 000.
Even without any negotiation the payment calculator is telling me that I would only need to put down like less than $7000 to make my payments similar to what the guy is asking for it.
If I put down 18000 my payment AFTER taxes is like $500.
How did the "limited edition" cost on top of the regular CLA45 amg?
Wow, if true this guy got hosed on his lease deal. The limited edition (50 in Canada) is about 2k more than the fully loaded regular version so 69-70k mrsp.
The key is to limit the options so you have a car in the mid 50k that is actually pretty reasonable performance to cost (355hp, 330 torque) and still fairly luxurious.
Mine was about 57k pre-tax. Any higher you might as well look at M3/M4 or C63 instead.
Pretty nice 12C with really loud exhaust, cops were definitely preying on him IMO and the left turn gave them the excuse to pull him over. Didn't really feel like what he did was dangerous or if it was even illegal as his car was already past the stop line and it's a one way with decent visibility.
I guess it kinda comes with the territory of driving a flashy/loud car, can't help but to think he might not have been pulled over in something more mundane. From what I saw cops didn't see him rip it onto Howe.
P.S. what does EAD stand for? saw a decal for that on the Mclaren
I got pulled over by a biker cop beside the post office on georgia for the abarth's crackling and popping exhaust
I think the cops do it just out of curiosity sometimes... didnt get a ticket since it was stock not surprised if they pulled a louder more exotic car over...
Those astons with the active exhausts gets pretty loud as well!

I've gotten pulled over too downtown for my exhaust and its crackling and popping on throttle liftoff and when shifting. Told the cop it was an OEM BMW part and he was cool about it. He just said to try shifting earlier and avoid making "unnecessary" burbles.
That's shocking (to me anyway) that options to "fully load" a car can add almost 40% to the base price...$20K in options on a $50K car seems off.
EDIT: When I was building a C63 AMG online for shits'n'giggles one night, fully loading the car only added about $4K so it ended up being $80K up from $76K pre. Unless the website doesn't show all the available options...but based on the list of what was included, many of the ones that are options on the list posted above were included in the base price for the C63.
