Just watch out for the shitty drivers because there a dime a dozen too.

I know, I've been to Richmond a few times :) just because they're a dime a dozen doesn't mean I don't still get excited seeing nice cars lol
No thanks to driving in Richmond, there's not really much for me to go out there for... I've become one of "those" who doesn't really leave Vancouver hahaha Plus I no longer have a car to drive myself to Richmond :(

I saw one today. Not sure if its the same one, but I'd assume it is, parked in the driveway of a many million dollar mansion over near spanish banks. Me jelly.

I don't get this new hype trend with wagons all of a sudden. Put me in the minority that hates them and think they look like housewifes errand mobile. It seem like a new short lived fad popping up and see it getting played out real quick like spinning rims, hella flush and loud fart exhausts etc. etc...

I associate wagons with this car:

Those of us that are old enough to drive around here, like the idea we can have a car that is fun to drive, and take 4 friends with snowboard gear up to whistler.

knight604 10-05-2014 08:52 PM

Wagons has always been around and Europeans love that shit

It's probably getting more popular because all the soccer moms have moved on to minivans and wagons offer the space and practicality of a minivan, without the stigma and sluggish performance. Wagons today are different from that caprice wagon you linked.

While I don't personally like wagons/estates much, I can understand the appeal. Roughly the same performance of a coupe or sedan, but with the functionality and storage volume of an SUV (without driving a big, lumbering blob).

What will be a short lived fad are Porsches with tacky body kits.

The wagon you posted has a Corvette motor in it from 94-96. They can tow between 5000 - 7000 lbs.

Everyone says they have the same capacity as SUV's and are infinitely practical and all that jazz. As an SUV owner, I have to say they probably have even more room (atleast compared to my POS FX).

Seriously I don't think some people understand how deplorable the cargo room of some SUV's actually is. I had a buddy with an S4 wagon and his cargo capacity put my FX to shame. Also his car fit 5 people comfortably, whereas sitting in the bitch seat in my car results in horrible ass pain or thoughts of suicide on rides longer than 1 hour.

talking about wagons/avants/estate cars:

This past weekend-
E63 AMG W212 Facelift...

Spoiler!

328 GTS... The exhaust sounds were incredible even at low speeds. Was able to compliment the older driver and his wife at a red traffic light (I was in the passenger seat taking the picture).

Huracan driven by a teenager/young adult who blazed out of the parking lot, a little too quickly...

I never chose to drive an SUV, it really was handed down to me. I do like being able to shove my hockey bag in plus two bikes without breaking a sweat though. When I was swapping out my wheels and tires, I realized I could easily fit two sets of wheels and tires in the back with ease.

Also obligatory shameless plugs :troll:

I can fit two sets of wheels and tires in my Celica, I can't imagine just how many you could fit into an estate. Like Meme said, the storage volume of most SUV's is actually pretty sad, my Jeep is fairly small, gf's parents Rav4 is about the same, their Expedition has loads of room but it's the size of some peoples houses and is about as interesting to drive as an ox cart.
