The first gen was a revolutionary design in the class of affordable and reliable convertible cars. girls car? maybe. a unique car that started a movement of its own? definitely.
looks are subjective, new one is unproportionate and bulky to me, and it doesn't strike me as a "good" design. I fail to see this as a "classic" in the coming years where as the first gen is aging quite well and will become a collector item.

F360 is still such a nice car.
Hard to believe that they're pushing 10-16 years old now.

Funny, after seeing one the other day I was just thinking to myself how poorly they have aged. Slotted in between 2 of the best looking modern ferraris ever made (the 430 and the 355) it just doesn't hold a candle to either.

Hmmm.... Some angles the car does seem like it is aging not so greatly, but it still definitely has a lot of road presence, especially with unique colour combinations and tasteful choice of wheels.

Anyhoo here are some more pics I found on my phone

exactly!
The differences between the 360 and 430 are subtle, and would be unnoticible to the average person. But the shape is so similar to those models, and completely different from the 355 it preceded and the 458 that came after.

I agree with Westopher though that the 355 is one of the finest looking cars in the modern Ferrari lineup. That said, I'm a 12 cylinder fan. Give me a 599 over any of the V8 Ferraris anyday!

This local 599 with PUR wheels is sex.

The only Ferraris that I haven't considered ugly are the 355 and 430, but that's just me.

Also I'm assuming that E30 has racing livery? Otherwise I'd argue it should go to the HoS.

They're only $63k CAD? I was expecting it to be a hell of a lot more than that.

I keep forgetting to ask, what model is Pauls Saab? I can't say I've ever seen another one of whatever it is.

Yes, early 90's German Touring Car teams used Tic Tac livery. Tauber & Valier.

The 360 was Ferrrari's first real modern car. I agree the 355 and 430 styling is more appealing, but for $70k to $100K for a 6sp low mileage 360, it is great value. A 6sp 430 will run you $150K+. I would take a 360 anyday of the week over a 355. Although you still have to change the belts on the 360, the maintanence is nothing compared to a 355. You have to change the headers every 4yrs and that costs you $10K!! what a joke.

Really? Why is that? Just curious as I wouldn't consider an exhaust manifold as a "wear" item.

Couple reasons, but mainly thin piping for oem, expands as it gets hot, pipes touch each other and fuse, cools and cracks. Ferrari never made better ones, better idea to just get tubi or quicksilver which will last longer.

I guess if you don't mind spending $10k and $4k in labour every 4 yrs for headers replacement, it is no problem at all!
