Revscene SpottedSpotted Revscene Members all across town
Did you happen to see a Revscene member or a car with a Revscene sticker on the road or somewhere? Or happen to see a car of interest that you'd like to share with pictures? Post it up here!
There is a lot of plastic in the front end though. For the kind of money one spends on the R8, the grille should be made out of stainless, or mesh, or at least something higher quality than the same plastic that Lexus builds the front ends of their cars out of.
Is this the R8's long lost brother that I spotted saturday before the Canucks game?
Excuse the upright phone. I didn't want to get the homeless guy sleeping on the curb in the pic.
seeing the water bottle and school binders dumped on top of the car it makes me wonder how much the owner really cares...

Looks like a little family resemblance (edit: not quite as much as I thought)... it's not a bad thing though.
I'm not sure I like the new R8 as much as the old one, but that's exactly what I said about the Huracan until I saw one in person. I am however a fan of that front end, I think it looks pretty mean.
I like the new R8 exterior and compared to the current R8, the new R8 does look more modern. I also like the rear and the squared exhaust tips but as a R8 owner I think for me the biggest upgrade has to be the interior.
The current R8's interior is beyond dated. There's no keyless entry, backup camera is so bad that I don't even use it and the backup camera is important on a car like a R8 because visibility isn't great. Overall MMI system is dated and lacks a lot of features which are now standard on most entry level cars. The seats look and feel like seats you find in a base model Audi, the EU did get sport seats but were banned in NA because there were no side airbags. Imo, there's no real wow factor when it comes to the current R8 interior but the new R8 interior looks like it'll have the wow factor.
I also like the steering wheel in the new R8 and the full TFT display which is pretty amazing but I've read that the backup camera is still god awful in the Huracan which will probably mean it'll be god awful on the new R8. And to pour salt on the wound, I've read the backup camera option on the Huracan is something like $3,000+ but yet you get a camera which is basically 144p quality.
I was a fan of the Audi R8 back in 2007 till 2010 almost bought one, But the performance is not what I would expect for todays performance sports cars at that price point and the body seems kinda old and tired to me now as they have had that body design for almost 9 years and are still going to use it. Changing exhast tips and changing rear lights or front lighting just doesnt do it for me. I think they or in need a major design change imho
