probably has taycan + 918 in the garage |
Has anyone checked out that used car dealership with the rows of Benz SL convertibles on Marine Drive in North Vancouver? I see a few gems there, but also feel sad to see so many of them just being sun baked/rained on 24/7. |
That place is so fucking weird. I went to go look at a 911 there but it was closed. Big sign on the window that says "cars not for sale." There must be 60 of those SLs there. |

I believe I saw a 300SL Gulfwing today while driving on 91. Fuck that thing is not a car... it's ART. And never knew there was one locally. Sorry no pics as dashcam's broken and haven't had time to replace it yet. |
^ 300sl is a jaw dropping car. One of my all time favourites. First time seeing a Cullinan in person. Its a massive car, pictures don't do justice. https://i.imgur.com/NGL3nDO.jpg This thing was a little rough around the edges but these little Corollas are sick. Back when Corollas were actually cool. https://i.imgur.com/BhAjPnX.jpg |
corollas were never cool :moderated: 300SL road presence is unreal to think it was made like 70 years ago must've been like an AMG One or AM Vulcan of its time :fulloffuck: |
Some may not find these "sick" but I definitely think they're pretty cool. https://i.imgur.com/cD7xX1q.jpg Never see these Scouts anymore. Pretty rare and super cool imo. https://i.imgur.com/S9xX9bG.jpg https://i.imgur.com/fSMgMcC.jpg https://i.imgur.com/CODgkwa.jpg https://i.imgur.com/oorkZvu.jpg Never seen this shade of blue before on the 993 but its absolutely gorgeous. My favourite colour so far. https://i.imgur.com/JjY54Jb.jpg and a 996 Turbo behind it :sweetjesus: https://i.imgur.com/A6CZboP.jpg |
I think thats zenith blue on the 993? |
the scout and GN are sweet |

Will the AM Vulcan fit into our 15yrs rules where we can import one and insure it without having to conform to any regulations? Or does it have to be road legal somewhere before? |
You can't import a 15 year old f1 car and register it. I'm sure the same parameters apply to the Vulcan. You could buy this one maybe? https://www.autoweek.com/news/sports...up-conversion/ |
Bahaha... I can only dream of ever owning one of that. But I was curious to see if it's ever possible to make it street legal without going through a lot of trouble for any car that weren't designed originally to be street legal. |
With enough money it seems like anything is possible, until you get a VI.... |
I think the closest thing is registering a kit car, but even for that I thought you had to show it was actually a kit and you'll need all the bits to make it actually pass an inspection. |

From Transport Canada, it seems that an AM Vulcan for example, should be admissible after 15years as its part of "non-regulated vehicle" program as it's no longer required to conform to MVSA due to "age-exempt". However, importing one legally is one thing, and registering and licensing it is whole other story. I'm not sure how ICBC does it with 15yr+ vehicles insurance such as all the Skyline GT-Rs we have locally. But my guess is that they have an upper limit on how much they'd insure it for. :D |

So then I could take an old track car, put fenders on the wheels etc get DOT lights Etc and register it. |
Makes me think about the Noble kit cars: https://classiccarsbay.com/us-noble-c668 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Even though they didn't have the wine I wanted in stock I got to see this https://scontent.fyyc6-1.fna.fbcdn.n...e9&oe=5F30F626 https://scontent.fyyc6-1.fna.fbcdn.n...56&oe=5F2E866E |
Wowoowowowowowowwwwwww |
I think I saw that at LSW last year but I didn’t think it was local. Wow |
Parking there is pretty ballsy looking at the car next to it. |
